What's up guys?
My Summoner name is: AlphaWolfeStar and I play on the NA server. I was Silver 3 last season and like an idiot did my provisionals in the first week of ranked and was placed in Bronze 4 for my trouble. I then fell to Bronze 5 before finally winning my way up to bronze 2. I may sound like a Scrub lord but there hasn't been a new Diana guide in forever and I'm here to fill the void. I'm like chocolate when you're sad. So without further ado let's get started!

In the mid lane an assassin has to rely on their mobility to not get blown up by the enemy mage. In Top lane it's a lot of melee champs. With Diana's ability to get into squishies faces and with a ranged q, she does well in the Top lane. Only a few common top laners realy have kits suited to bullying Diana.
Usually farming with AP's goes a lot like this. "Oh ******** it I missed it again," Until late game where you completely obliterate entire waves like child's play. Diana's passive makes her extremely good at farming. She also had some surprisingly good AD stats. So just use your passive to its full glory and you should be fine.
Nashors, Or No Nashors That Is The Question
You're probably looking at my build and thinking, um sir I believe you forgot tooth. No, no I did not. Sure it works awesome with her passive, and CDR is nice, but I actually hate this item on her. You should be bursting everyone with pure AP, not auto's. You're an AP assassin not some Talon wanna be. I prefer Lich Bane for the mana it gives, spellblades active and the nice bit of AP it grants. If you think I'm full of **** go ahead and build it anyway, just telling you my personal experiences with the item.
When should you pick Diana? Diana can fill the role of assassin very well. If your team is super AD heavy, like lets say Vi jg and Yas mid. She's a great pick if you guys have an AD mid. (Zed, Yasuo, Talon, AD Malz,.etc). If you have an AP mid, and an AD jungle you can still pick her. The more Magic resist they build to counter you the less armor they have for your ADC. You should not pick her into someone like Riven, Fiora or Pantheon. Or if you have AP mid, AP jung and a AP supp like Karma or Sona. Then you should go AD to even out the damage output. Also if their team is super Squish squish shes an amazing pick with her passive and overall AoE damage. Can you say PENTAKILL?
Late Game/Team Fights
During Late game you should be doing your best to ward, and try to catch people out. Oh the Adc is trying to farm, get that booty and that kill. Oh the support is warding Baron? Murder them. Hey top laner, go fudge yourself. During team fights you should be in the back line, poking with q when necessary. Wait for your tanks to engage or for theirs to engage. Try to assassinate the ADC or the fed Mid. Or if you're extremely fed try to assassinate the entire team! She can get in, and hopefully get out quickly. If needed try to hit your hourglass and distract the team while yours cleans up.
