Threats & Synergies
Ezreal
Ezreal is easy for Draven, so long as you stay inside or behind your minion line. You out poke him if you're careful of his Q, and at 6 his all in is nowhere near as potent as yours. He is slippery as hell though, so don't commit too hard if his E is off cooldown.
Kog'Maw
Kog is a hyper carry. This little void puppy deals hardly any damage early but becomes a god late game. Try to poke him when his W is down, or if you're in range you can outfight him post level 3. When his W is on however his range is great so treat him as you would caitlyn for this duration. Pick him apart early and he'll be no threat for a while.
Sivir
Sivir is countered by Draven. What makes Sivir so good is her spellshield, which blocks most ADC's DPS. However, Draven's damage comes from his Q, which is an auto attack. This makes her like caitlyn without the auto range. Her ultimate has great syndergy in teamfights however so make sure to pay attention to their teamcomp and build accordingly.
Vayne
Vaynes are usually free lanes for you. Her lane presence is poor and her trading is mediocre. She becomes a demon late game though, so make sure to abuse your raw damage early to make sure she never gets there.
Lulu
Lulu is a very pokey peely support. She can polymorph you which makes you unable to do anything expect move slowly for a couple seconds, and she can shield and give a massive health boost to whomever she wants. Trade when her shield is on cooldown and avoid the glitterlance and she'll be easy pickings.
Bard
Bard is a roaming support, he's also incredibly unique. Pre 6 he's practically useless, dodge his Q (which is only slightly faster than a morg bind) and he can't do anything. His W lays down a healthpack, tread on them to destroy them but don't worry to much about them. His E makes a portal between 2 locations through terrain. You can take this portal but be incredibly careful if you do, as bard can easily land a stun through it and more than likely an enemy will be chilling there with him. Post 6 he has a giant AoE zhonya's that effects everyone/thing except the nexus obelisk (the lazer) this is what makes bard a god, or trash. A good bard will use this ulti to set up his team, save his team, and catch you offguard. A bad one will kill his team, give you free picks or just miss. It's slow and obvious that it's coming if he fires it from far away, just keep in mind all 5 enemies will be close by (probably). Don't stand right in front of/behind your creeps or support, as bard can easily land a stun on you which can potentially do some serious damage if the enemy ADC follows up on it.
Shen
Shen is a bodyguard in every sense of the word, he forces oppenents to attack him (with his taunt) and he gives his allies some hp regen if they attack a target marked by his Q, his ultimate also is 100% global and gives an ally a beefy shield before he teleports himself to their location after the channel. Shen in lane is only threatening if you're in his dash radius, which is only 600 range (To compare, leonas zenith blade is 875 range and your auto attack range is 550) and Shen can be made to stand aside when he dashes. Beyond that, he gives the ADC small amount of health regen and targon heals. Abuse him pre 6 as he can't do pretty much anything, however at 6 he can easily bait a fight with his ultimate, but usually shens will teleport out of lane to help an ally, if shen does this make sure to abuse the fact he left the lane by killing/damaging the enemy ADC or taking their tower. Preferably both. Careful with a taunt flash combo, as shen can flash at the end of his dash and still trigger the taunt, but this is only possible once every 5 minutes.
Twitch
Twitch is great in teamfights and midgame when assassinating people. However, you can push him around early and shut him down. Draven is one of the few champs who can duel him lategame even if he opens on you.
Jinx
Jinx is similar to Graves, but with less upfront burst and a way better late game. Early, avoid long duels as her Q gives her incredible DPS. Poke her as much as possible and try to avoid standing near creeps because of her splash damage from rockets. Due to her potential safety in lane thanks to her Q, she can actually become a big problem very fast as its hard to keep on her thanks to her self peel vs champions with no mobility. Plus her late game is a lot stronger than Dravens so make sure to ask your jungler for a hand as she's super abusable pre 6
Morgana
Morg is fairly easy for Draven thanks to her low range and lack of any damage prevention early. What she makes up for though is the fact you can't cc a target of her choosing and she can lock you down for around 3 years. Dodge her Q at all costs (Give it a wide dodge because its hitbox is awakward) and go all in once she uses it.
Nami
Nami is similar to Lulu, but with sustain instead of mitigation. She can heal and buff targets making them deal magic damage and slowing people, plus she has a targeted damage ability that bounces back to heal her. She can also stun you in a similar fashion to a small corki Q so avoid that. Once her bubble is down she can't do much so feel free to smack her and her ADC around during that time.
Soraka
Soraka is a secondary health pool for the enemy ADC. She has a weak damaging ability that heals her so try to dodge that, and she has an AoE silence that roots you if you stay inside. The silence isnt a big pain for you, but don't stand in it. What makes her annoying his the fact she can heal her ADC every couple of seconds which drains her HP. So make sure to focus her over the enemy ADC otherwise they'll just get healed back up to full. She is incredibly anti-fun and to be honest, right now you should ban her.
Lucian
Lucian is incredibly mobile and incredibly pokey. Avoid short fights and make sure to abuse his low range. You can dodge his Q by trying to position yourself awkwardly behind creeps, thus making him push to harass you, or miss altogether. If you get hit by his W, any attack against you from his team will make him run faster so keep that in mind if you get tagged. His ultimate is deceptively strong, as in if the Lucian is good he can land most/all of the culling and that will deal an incredible amount of damage to you, if you can make him stand aside when he begins to channel it.
Miss Fortune
MF is a poke bully, similar to caitlyn, but more about teamfight presence than pure range. Her Q is great at making sure your backline is your enemy too, and her slow is a pain. Try and stay inside your creeps to make double up less effective and make sure to E her ulti, unless you need to turn and run. Her new (buffed) Q now deals absurd damage if it kills the first target, so don't stand behind an ally minion that can be last hit, or you'll feel the pain.
Janna
Janna makes the enemy ADC beefy and makes them do more damage. On her own she's nothing more than a knockback bot with high movement speed, so abuse the target without a shield, if they all in you with her shield, focus it off to make sure they can't hit you as hard. Her range is low so abuse that. Janna makes the enemy ADC beefy and makes them do more damage. On her own she's nothing more than a knockback bot with high movement speed, so abuse the target without a shield, if they all in you with her shield, focus it off to make sure they can't hit you as hard. Her range is low so abuse that.
Sona
Sona can do all sorts of buffing and healing for her ADC and herself. She puts an aura around her to either heal, boost the damage of, or speed up anyone in its radius. She cant specifically target you so standing near minions or behind your support will reduce the chance of you being hit. Try and all in her to make sure she cant outsustain you.
Kennen
Whilst Kennen is pretty much always a Top or Mid lane champion, he's recently being played as a poke based support too. If you have to play against him when he's a support don't be too afraid. Pay attention to his shuriken colour to avoid getting stunned, count the mark stacks on yourself as well. He won't be dealing too much damage due to the fact his base damages are not too great. At 6 however he changes from being a poke based support to an all in one, so change your playstyle as soon as that happens. When he uses his lightning rush make him stand aside and he'll struggle to go all in onto you without flash.
Varus
Varus is a problem for Draven, the range on his autos makes him a pain to out trade pre 6 and post 6 he can hardcore CC you causing you drop axes and lose the fight thanks to his Q/W burst. Focus on farming early and let your support/jungle create the pick, which thankfully is pretty easy to do due to his lack of any form of mobility. Not even a movement speed steroid.
Kalista
Kalista is a lane bully that gets outscaled the longer the game goes on, usually. This lane is all about your support and their support, as it's hard to be outraded by her, but it's also hard for you to outrade her. Poke with a Spinning Axe auto when she walks up to get a creep, but focus more on farming. As soon as a fight breaks out from either support, immediately go all in. Focus Kalista 90% of the time in this situation so she can't build up enough rend stacks to one shot you (Except against Soraka, always kill soraka first)
Tristana
Trist is annoying as hell. Her E damage stacks up really quickly, she has great escape with her W and R plus she can demolish towers in a split second along with creep waves. Her weakness is extended fights, which, if you catch your axes, will win. You can interrupt her jump with your stand aside, so look for the animation start up to get maximum style points!
Braum
Braum can choose force you to hit him, like a taunt but more friendly. His E causes your axes to hit him if you target behind him and they bounce off it dealing reduced damage. Force trades with him when its down and once you dodge his Q. If he autos you or lands a Q, pull back immediately or a painful stun will follow if he can keep hitting you, or if the enemy ADC can hit you. He very commonly forces fights by jumping to a creep and auto attacking or q'ing you from point blank, so avoid getting close to the enemy minions. When he puts his E up, walk around the side of him as he cannot change its position.
Ashe
With Ashes new rework she's actually a pretty potent ADC now. In lane she excels at extended trades due to her Q and it's hard to poke her out due to her range and the fact she can slow you so she can choose how long to fight. The only way to beat her is to go all in all the time because a competent Ashe will always just fight/poke. Getting an early Vamp will help sustain against her poke and getting a PD is pretty much needed to counteract her lack of RNG. Play aggressive and abuse your lane pressure to get a lead early game and dodge her ult mid game to close before late game, as her teamfight initiation and sustained damage makes her deadly.
Corki
Corki is similar to Lucian, however more bursty and less mobile. His Q deals incredible damage so dodge it at all costs, after that he's fairly week. Your E can interrupt his W if times well. When he gets his triforce pay extra attention to his rocket supply as he can seriously hurt if he combos ult or Q into an Auto. He's also a mid game monster that falls off late, so be careful around the 2-3 item mark as his damage output is incredible.
Alistar
Alistar is a giant cockblock. He has enough CC to make you weep. Focus on staying at 500+ range from him and make sure to play safe if he has his flash on. Once he uses an ability however he becomes fairly uselss aside from being a massive sponge. focus your attention on the enemy ADC and keep his position in mind, make your support harass him as much as possible.
Thresh
Thresh is like a slower more dangerous blitz. His hook is your Death Sentence so make sure to avoid that at all costs. Once it's down however he has no innate tankiness so feel free to abuse his low range. His W can set up jungle ganks very effectively so make sure you pay attention to how he throws it.
Annie
Annie is someone who didn't get mid but wants to deal damage after being forced to support, usually at least. Her stun is obvious thanks to its marker but she deals incredible harass with autos and Q's. She outranges you hard so focus more on the enemy ADC and play safe when her stun is up, ESPECIALLY post 6. Once she blows her stun however feel free to go aggressive.
Nautilus
Naut is starting to see some light in play thanks to cinderhulk, and he's also being picked as a support thanks to his W change recently. He's a massive beast of a champion but is also incredibly slow. He has a hook like thresh or blitz but its a lot slower but has a lot more follow up potential thanks to his passive and E. Keep the bushes warded and try and disjoint his hook with your E. His ult is point and click so judge your HP, the enemies HP and their Damage to determine weather you can withstand the 2s CC or run.
Caitlyn
Cait is a lane bully through and through. However thats all she is until 6 items/ultra late game. To win just farm up and dodge her Q, when she does Q move in to trade, and run when her passive is procced. It's never worth it to take that shot. Other than this just abuse her mid game with your superior damage and dueling.
Blitzcrank
Blitzy is one of the best champions at abusing postions. His Q pulls you straight out of your comfort zone into hell. You can bait his Q by dropping axes when appropriate but Dravens fault is he is predictable. Stay inside creeps and make sure your support is pushing up. If blitz hooks your support, go ham onto their ADC. The danger of blitz depends on his skill however, a mediocre blitz will be useless, but a good one will be a giant pain for you to deal with.
Leona
Leona is like Blitz but with more CC and more going ham. Her E, if it hits a champion, launchers herself into the last champion she hits, this make her dangerous thanks to Dravens predictability when juggling. With some skill you can use your Stand aside to knock her when she does this, but this isn't easy to do. Minions cant help you here so just play it cool and if she wastes her E, make sure she regrets it because that's all she has to go in, unless she flashes or lands her ulti. Avoid putting a lot of time into her when her W is active, she mitigates a lot of damage.
