Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
hello this is my first guide on mobafire, i have been playing gp alot lately (about 40 games so far) and i have tried many builds on gp and i have come to love this one. gp is becoming one of my favorite champs and i hope this guide helps some people.
i havnt had enough ip to get crit runes, but i ran him with AS glyphs and seals as well as CDR glyphs and dodge seals. and i feel that the early armour and MRES work well for survivability. i will update this section when i have crit runes. btw the ap runes are because they are the only quints i have lol
i am building this guide because i havn't seen anyone using the same items as me. i feel executioner's calling is a great item on gp. it gives a substantial crit chance, a good amount of lifesteal and also it has a unique active that reduces healing on a 12 second cooldown, which is great when you are going in for a kill for just to use when the support champ tries to counter your harassing.
i buy boots of speed and zeal the the extra movespeed. then B.F sword for some more damage. i then finish off my boots into zerker greaves for AS.
after that its pretty standard crit plank going Infinity edge, phantom dancer and bloodthirster. i also leave room for a situational item grabbing banshees for MRES
frozen heart for AD heavy teams, and wormogs or frozen mallet for general survivability.
when i lane i typically harass with my parley when i got to grab a last hit just to knock out 2 birds with one stone.
what i do when going in for a kill is i parley to slow them raise morale exhaust. and start auto attacking mixed with parley dont use remove scurvey except when you think they used all their cc first. if you have your ultimate you want to drop it in the way of the escape route, its not very helpful if the champ your killing has a blink(ezreal leblanc kat jax ect.)
when the team fight starts you want to start by picking the carry in the fight and using exhaust and focusing them, if you get low remove scurvy, flash out and poke with parley. even if your low hp your parley crits should still be hitting hard. dont forget to drop your ulti on the most people possible and if the other team runs away then put it in their escape route
this i believe deserves its own section.
gp has on the the most useful and versatile ultimates in the game.
lategame you can clear minion waves that are at one of your turrets. on that same note it will also deture most people from pushing your turret even if you are nowhere near it.
when pushing a lane watch your minion waves because that will show you where the enemy minons are so you can ensure your minions dont get distracted from the turret by the enemy minions.
this ulti is great for securing kills at your enemies turret. just get the enemy down to like 2/3 hp chase them to thier turret just before the get there drop your ulti so that it covers the turrets range of fire, they either have to stay back to face you or run under their turret and possibly die.
another great use you the ulti is when you ward baron and see the enemy team grabbing baron near the end ulti place your ulti so that it hits the baron and the enemy team then have your team initiate.
i know this is not he best guide, i need to add alot of color and also i need to learn how to add links to the items, runes and such. i will post some scoreboards soon as well. please try out the build before downvoting. i hope this helps you learn the scurge of the fields of justice, GP. i am completely open to comment on how to improve this guide.
have fun and enjoy this pirate to the fullest.
