Ok, i recently started useing Garen again and decided to look on mobafire for any good tank Garen builds, to my surpise there were none. Instead i just found builds all about Garen DPS... good joke. So, i decided to play Garen and work out what works best for him, now that i have a decent idea i thought i might as well post incase somebody finds themselves in my shoes.

This build can be modded for diffrent enemy's such as Heavy AP nukes. The 2 summoner spells are very flexible with garen, i suggest a flash to get nice and close to all those enemy's when you spin them to death and anything else you might like for the second, i like to keep a clairvoyance incase they have a jungler's so my team mates or me can quickly shut him down.

So to start off with Garen you can either start off with a ruby crystal or regrowth plate + health pot. I suggest regrowth plate for those just starting to play garen, ruby crystal for those alittle more familiar with the champion. Alot of people have subtly suggested to use shoes for Garen cause apparently "shoEE's r for teh pR0zz cuase i go fast n get killzz n shhhhiiittt" (That was actually word for word what i was told, spelt the exact same way). Im not saying shoe's + 3 x pot's is bad but you do have a movement increase from your first skill that you get by level 2. If you can use it correctly you can catch up to the enemy fairly easy.

Early game is extremely easy seeing as Garen has a great health regen passive and you should be farming as much as possible with your judgment, you should only have to return when you have enough for boots of swiftness and warmong's. I chose to get FoN next seeing as the movement speed is great for garen and the regen is fairly handy aswell, this means you only have to return when your absolutely low and can stay with your team nearly all the time.

After FoN i chose to get 2 x Sunfire Capes, for the obvious. Judgment + 2 x Sunfire = GG!
With Garen you cant be slowed when in judgment so you can constantly stay up-close and personal while spinning them + burning them to death. The atma's can be changed depending on what you like or who your against but i do like to use it for a general pressure on the other team.

Thats my Garen build, enjoy. Once again this is my personal preferance but im open to suggestions. Enjoy playing your flaming tornado of swords.
