Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
First of all I would like to say that Cass is not a completely useless character. In team fights if left alone she could do amazing damage.
I start by buying a Ruby because she is quite squishy in the begging and we all know it. With her passive she wont be using that much mana when harassing the other team. Her poison may do a lot of damage but the true power she has is Twin Fang. Make sure that the target is poisoned before actually using it so that you can maximize the damage output.
I know that many of you may disagree with buying Rod of Ages at all but because of its ability to give you mana/health and ability power every minute it is quite useful on her.
After you have your Rod of Ages Archangel is the next step because as we all know it gives you ability power depending on your mana and with the rod you should already have a good amount of mana. Make sure to buy the tear first so that once you have the Archangel its passive gives you a good amount of ability power.
If the other team hasnt surrendered yet Zhonyas is just to prove to them that they are officially done for. With this in your inventory your level 18 Cass should have somewhere between 500 and 600 ability power. (I dont exactly know the specific number)
The Spells that I used are the basic idea for her. Poison your target and spam the twin fangs they should take away quite a good junk of health from your enemy.
Your ult should be used wisely in the beginning save it for either certain kills or for escaping. Later on you have enough health to be able to use it in team fights to stun most of their team.
The summoner spells are the perfect for both escaping and chasing. Flash is useful for early attempts to gang you while it is also used for a surprise attack with your ult as a chaser. Ghost is self explanatory.
Depending on the enemy team your boots may come in earlier or later than indicated above but make sure you have them. As soon as you get void.
Since you already have a good amount of magic pen with void no matter how much magic protection the other team has they will still be quite squishy against your spells.
The frost stick is the next big step. Once you have that your health should be enough so that you can be in team fights without dyeing. Some people say that this is what you should buy first but I dont think so because it takes quite a while before you can actually get it. And your poisons already slow the target not really a big need to have more slows.
