This is my hybrid dps/tank build. I'm not gonna go very in depth about how i play because its kind of obvious. Buying dps items but at the same time getting health and armor.

Summoner spells: ghost and exhaust. Ghost in combination with decisive strike makes you pretty fast. It also allows you to escape well. Exhaust helps keep them inside your judgment range for the full duration. Other good choices are flash and/or ignite. Flash is great for engaging/escaping and ignite helps in 1 on 1s. Right as the fight starts hit em with ignite so you can get to your ult faster. Dont use ignite to finish them.

items: boots of swiftness really help in chasing people down. This is extremely useful early game.
If you arent able to keep stacks on your sword of the occult go ahead and sell it. Mallet is really important because it gives you a lot more survivability and helps keep them within judgment range.
You can get either infinity or atma's first depending on the situation. If you are dying too much, go ahead and get atma's for the armor. If not, get infinity first. It gives you more damage. Usually in a game I'll get infinity built and some of atma's before the game ends. Longer games I can get them both done.
Guardians is for the really long games. If you've been raping, you can afford it. Other situational items are last whisper if the other team has a lot of armor, although the attack speed isn't all that useful. Madred's bloodrazor if they have a lot of life. Quicksilver sash if you're getting burnt by magic damage.

Laning partners: Your best laning partners are those with stuns, slows, and heals. Stuns and slows help with keeping enemies within judgment range and heals help you harass with judgment as much as you want without losing much life. My personal favorites are blitz and taric.

A few things I've learned about garen: If you use decisive and your ult at the same time, your ult goes off first, then on the next strike decisive goes off. Use the speed boost from decisive to hit with your ult then if you've misjudged and they're still alive, you can usually finish them off with decisive. Also, don't waste your ult by trying to get the last hit on someone your team is nuking. Most of the time you won't get the kill and you waste your ult, because it still goes off. The exception to this is tanks. Go ahead and use it.

Hope this is helpful.
