Introduction

Welcome to my guide.

If you find any mistakes feel free to tell me in the comments.

GangPlank is the most fun champion to play. His abilities, in my opinion, make him insanely powerful. I hope after this guide you love to play gangplank as much as I do.

Runes

Offensive

Gangplank is completely on the offense. He is a fun play because he can pound down kills like no other. I focus Runes on Critical (for 250% damage), Mana (because he doesn't have a lot of mana to begin with. More mana helps a lot.), and Attack speed (Because his items dont give him a lot of attack speed so he needs the boost.)[/center]

Masteries

21/0/9. Made mainly for damage, and regeneration. Pretty standard for melee characters.

Items

Gangplank is built for a ton of damage, and life stealing. His items are somewhat repetitive but it is needed for a build like this.
His build makes him very very good for standard attacking and purrley.

Order of buying Items:

BloodThirster

1) Vampiric Scepter
2) B. F. Sword
3) BloodThirster

Berserkers Greaves

1) Boots Of Speed

Skill Sequence

The way I do my skills (abilities) is like this:
Most important to least important, is:
Purrley. - Max this out before any of them
Remove Scurvy - You should max this out right after Purrley
Cannon Barrage - Max this out right after Remove Scurvy
Raise Morale - Max this out after you have all other skills maxed.

Summoner Spells

Flash

This is used for running away from a gank you may find yourself in.
You can also chase people with it if you couldn't pull off the kill and they got away

Exhaust

Use this when you are ready to gank someone. Lowers their attack/attack speed/speed.
Great for chasing or if you are taking heavy damage

Pros / Cons

Funny joke:

If pro is the opposite of con, then is PROgress the opposite of CONgress?

Pros

- Fast movement speed (more time in battle)
- High DPS (a lot of kills)
- Awesome Skills (Easier to kill with)
- Ult. Has NO range. (Can attack people from anywhere)

cons

- Squishy (Low Health)
- Kind of expensive (3150 IP)
- A lot of gold is required to be good (Expensive Items)
- Low mana (Can't use abilities a whole lot before having to blue pill.)

Strategy

Levels 1-6

Key Points:

Do not solo a lane.
Play defensively.
If you can gank. Use Exhaust, scurvy them (really slowed) and attack with your partner. Use flash to get away.
You should have your first Bloodthirster.
Last hit minions with purrley for extra gold.

Levels 7-12

Key Points

You can start soloing a lane because you should have life steal and damage on your side
To kill, let off your exhaust and chase. If they dont die put a canon barrage in their path of retreat.
Play on offense. Kill lots of minions and any enemy champion you can SAFELY kill.
Do not get near turrets without friendly minions.
You should have both Bloodthirsters and the Greaves.

Level 13-18

Key Points

You should have purrley maxed out. Make sure to stay healed with Remove Scurvy.
Really start going all around the map and joining team fights. Try to get the last hit with purrley.
Keep buying the items, kill the dragon for extra cash a lot. Go and jungle all the way through for extra cash.
Once you have all your items you can practically never die. With the 50% lifesteal and 428 damage per attack with over an attack per second.
use your Ult. to help allies when you are too far to join the fight. just scroll with your map view and pop the ult on an enemy.

Exra info:

Spam the enemy and harass them with purrley as much as you can
Take out the dragon as much as possible.
Be careful about getting ganked. You are very squishy. Never fight more than 2 people at once without extra teammates.
