We welcome you back Garen!

After testing the 5.16 reworked Garen, I have concluded that he is definitely stronger than before. A weaker laning phase sure, but a lot more late game power. Without further jibber jabberer here is the guide I actually should have done in the first place.

Who is Garen?

Garen is a Space marine, one who charges into battle against the enemy villain and decimates them with strong damage and execution style ultimate.
PROS

A solid laning phase transitioning to a strong and tanky late game champion.
hard to kill with his free resistances and damage reduction when played right
An absolute monster when built with damage.
Passive has been buffed so late game it is much more relevant and can heal Garen back to full in just a few seconds
A silence? ... I didn't know they were still in the game
He have a harem Here is a Comic series about that harem
Damage is Pretty insane levels 1 to 2
THE ULTIMATE is a very good and flashy way to kill steal
Cons
- A melee champion, so he is very easily kited.
- Can be out late game by many carries
- His head is smaller than normal.

I personally love this guy's video and he does teach a lot about how to play Garen right, this video is a bit outdated, but still retains good information.

He hasn't been making videos for a while as life is hard for him. Maybe he'll make some more videos one day, we can only hope :D

Team Work

Garen's ultimate Passive makes him the anti carry. A good Garen player should activily seek out the villian of the enemy team, and destroy the villain with max health true damage, and a true damage execute. Garen is also the front line to many squishy carries in the back line, so protecting your teammates sometimes is better than seeking out the villian.

Inconclusion

In conclusion, Garen is a good midgame bruiser with a surprising amount of damage.

If there comes a time when you have to shutdown a melee ad caster top lane, then Garen is your man to do it.
