Introduction
Thanks guys, and I hope you all enjoy trying this build (if you do)!
Roughhouse
The way this character is played, at least by me, is a hit and run specialist. Garen with ghost movement speed buff, decisive strike movement speed buff and the boots of swiftness, he can run around anyone or chase them down, or even run away. The way I play is I run in with decisive strike, hit them then run away with judgement and courage. Keep that up and you'll widle them down bit by bit. Garen, if built correctly, can be a great utility/tank. With courage his armor and magic resist goes up a fair amount so he'll take less dmg. I build him with lots of armor and health and finish him off with atma's impaler, it will give him the dmg he needs to help out in a team fight, and finish off the baddies! Instead of sunfire, if the enemy team is running lots of AD, then go with thornmail, it stops their attks in the cold. Make sure you get those last hits once you train the courage skill, it helps out alot getting the extra 25 armor/magic resist.
Cleanse ( for those ignite bastards) and Ghost ( to flee or chase down a baddie). Now feel free to go with whatever summoner spells your most comfortable with, I use these to get out of tight spots, and cleanse saves me so many times in early game from ignite, but if you like using any other spells, go right ahead!
I build garen like a tank, he can take so much dmg before he dies and put out a fair amount at the same time. Spirit Visage increases how effective Garen's passive is and allows you to stay in your lane that much longer to get yourself more gold or a kill. Sunfire cape helps farming along with the ability Judgment. You'll get those last hits for Courage and Warmog's Armor. So what's not to like about that? Top all of these + health items off with Atma's Impaler, and you'll be set for some aggressiveness.
Now the way I play Garen in a team fight is that he is very good at taking down weak enimies with lots of total health. Focus any of those baddies with low health with Demacian Justice, because it will almost give you that kill, then while its on cooldown, get in the fray and do as much dmg as possible.
