Ello and welcome to my Caitlyn Guide.
My Name is DuckTemplar and I am currently a Platinum Player on the OCE server. I have basically gotten to Platinum using pretty much only Caitlyn. Along with my Main (plat) I have 2 gold smurfs, one of them being DuckTemplar.
Hopefully after using this guide, you see the potential behind Caitlyn and can have as much success as I did this season. 8.3/4.7/9 over 150 games yay :D

Pros-
-Long range makes for sexy harass
-Lane control from Traps
-Good Trade with E Q combo+Headshot passive
-Slowing net for escaping ganks
-Nice range in teamfight makes contributing and kiting easier
-Cool Headhunter skin
-Pretty good all game round
Cons-
-Can be dueled 1v1 by most adcs
-Netting the wrong way can be frustrating
-Ulti can be frustrating to use for locked screen players

Standard runes for an adc.

Masteries are pretty standard too, this seems to work the best for me.

Items.
Start off with a Dorans Blade and Pot.

On your first back you should be able to afford a pickaxe or if you're doing very well already have a bf sword.

Buy boots if you have the extra gold

Then finish your Infinity Edge and then upgrade your boots to beserkers greaves.

Buy a vamperic to **** up your opponents more and get have some sustain. (sometimes you can get this first if you need the early sustain.

Then move on to your statik, finish that off and start buying towards Last whisper

Then upgrade your vamperic to a BloodThrister or Blade of the Ruined King.

Buy Your Guardians Angel or pick up a QuickSilver Sash and upgrade that if they have lots of cc or that ****wit warwick.

Early Game

Early game, you should've picked up your w or trap first. Place those strategically around the map ie. Tri bush and you should prioritize in protecting your jungler from invades. Other than that place the traps around your lane to get the maximum out of your lane control traps.
Early game you should farm up and if your vsing someone who has shorter range, like Lucian, poke him with your headshot passive. When you get your Piltover Peacemaker or q, try last hit the minions with it while hitting your opponent so you get the best out of your mana.
Constantly keep putting traps and poking until your jungler helps outs or your support does some fancy play.

Mid Game
Mid Game you should start contesting over dragon and start seiging towers, with your q and eventually statik shiv you should be able to clear waves effectively and poke down your opponents.

Late Game
Start finishing off your build and start contributing fully to teamfights.
USE YOUR RANGE TO YOUR ADVANTAGE AND KITE THEM TO DEATH. With your net, range, hopefully red and some peel from your support you should be alive for a while. If your team completely destroys the enemy team or the jungler gets picked off. Signal the baron and if you're on purple side, position yourself behind the baron pit, it can be done you just have to be in the right position

Caitlyn is an overall good pick and is strong all game round. If you manage to kite right and use your range to your advantage when you're laning you should be able to make it to late game where combined with a red buff you should be pelting them to death. Use the most of your poke and try to e+q combo them if they try to get to you.
