A little bit about myself as a LoL player.

I have been playing League for quite some time now, and over the past year or so have come to really enjoy playing it. I took a little break and now that I'm back, i plan to get serious.

At the moment A few friends and I spend a lot of time playing together, and in the past few weeks, have come to love hecarim. Hecarim is an amazing solo-top champion. In countless games we decimate the enemy team. Well, enough about this. Lets get into why i decided to upload my build that i use in almost every situation.

THIS IS STILL A WORK IN PROGRESS. I just wanted to get this out as soon as i could for all you confused Hecarim players out there!

Runes and masteries.

Now, before everyone gets on my back about my choices, i wish to explain a few things. I have many different mastery pages for what may come my way. In the team that i normally play with these runes and masterys work extremley well with our team composition most of the time. When we switch it up i do op out for a more tankey build or to be able to fill more of a dps role.

Skill Sequence + Use

Q - Rampage
Being your main source of damage, i max this second. One of the amazing things about Rampage is that if it hits an enemy, it cooldown goes down by 1, stacking 2 times. One of the main reasons i choose to max this second is that i wait to get as much cs as i can through Spirit of Dread. Depending on how your laneing phase is going you could op out at max Rampage first to have large harass and damage early game. Combining Rampage + Sheen is a deadley combo. The normal 4 second cooldown is excellent for procing Sheen's effect.

W - Spirit of dread
This is Hecarim's most efficient skill for solo top. It gives you great lane sustain and deals decent damage. I max this first at level 9, where more teamfights are likey to happen. Maxing W first gives you decent damage in a teamfight and since you heal 20% of ALL damage dealt makes you a decent tank early game without haveing to spend your gold. I find doing this to be a great advantage to the team as your decent damage and great sustain makes you a hard to ignore target.

E - Devastating Charge
Hecarims E is his icing on top of his cake. His E enables you to get out of tough situations and be the 1st into a teamfight. When you activate it, for 4 seconds it gives you scaling bonus movement speed and once you hit the target, knocks them back. This is great for hunting down a target, getting a little bit ahead of him and pushing him back. I mainly use this skill in 1v1 situations and running away. This is the skill that sets Hecarim from other champions. Also, this skill allows for great ganks on mid. Harass your lane as much as you can with Rampage and Spirit of Dread. After you get the kill or the opposing champ runs away, start heading mid. Don’t use your E until you get into the bush and jump out. Try to push the enemy champ towards your mid carry and not towards their turret. Off to the side is fine but its best used when you push them as far as you can to your teammate.

Now, what i am aiming for with this skill set is easy farming to get you your trinity force as soon as possible. Depending on how you do in lane, you can max Rampage first if you're dominating your opponent.

I only put one point into Hecarim's E because i find it only useful for running away/catching up to my target and pushing them back. I find that relying on the damage from your E is not a decent way to play hecarim. Your E should only be used to push an enemy back for a little bit more attack time.

Once i get Hecarim's ult i use E before charging in with it. This combo heavily disorientates your enemy for an easy kill.

A large portion of the time I end up useing this exact build in this order. Depending on how i am doing i may op out Atmas for a frozen heart for the extra Armor. And Maw for a banshies or FoN. Besides that i go this build every game.

WTFBBQ Y U SO NUB? Hextach Gunblade is horrable for Hecarim blah blah blah... NO Hextach is an amazing item for LATE game. It gives you amazing late game sustain. Once i build into this item i find that in most situations i am able to go into a 1v3, get a double kill and escape with ease while my team comes to clean up the mess.
