You may see the title of this guide and be all like "oh jungle akali, obvious troll is obvious." But i am not here to troll. This guide is for people like my self who are good at akali, but cant lane to save their lives. I can't lane at all, that's why I pretty much only play junglers, like WW, Brolaf, Jarvan, Noc, Karthus, Mumu, Rammus and many more.

Since this guide is focused towards how to jungle im not going to bother going into detail with the skills and detailed analysis of the champion, just how to jungle and all the info that is related to jungling.

But enough of this, lets get to the meat of the subject.

Just like most junglers we go 21/0/9

Important ones are:

Plentiful Bounty: mainly for the cooldown on your smite
Offensive mastery: helps speed up your jungle, because a fast jungle is always better
Utility mastery: because having buffs is always a good thing.

other than these 3 the masteries are pretty much the same as it would be on a normal akali.

These rune are built so that you start with both buffs from Twin Disciplines.

Marks:

Greater Mark of Attack Damage x7: 7 ad from this plus the 3 from the masteries gives you 10 to activate the spellvamp buff from your passive

Greater Mark of Magic Penetration x2: because magic pen is good

Seals: with this you have 3 good options:

Greater Seal of Health x9
Greater Seal of Evasion x9
Greater Seal of Armor x9

really you can sue anything that will make you tankier

Glyphs:

Greater Glyph of Scaling Ability Power x5: this maximizes your ap at lvl 18
Greater Glyph of Ability Power x4: 4ap towards the passive damage buff

Quints:

Greater Quintessence of Ability Power x3: 15 ap + 4 ap from the glyphs + 1 from the masteries = 20 ap at lvl 1 which gives you the passive damage buff.

Simple wraith route.

For those of you who dont know the wraith route it goes something like this:

1: Smite big blue wratih
2: kill the other wraiths
3: Go to the wolves and kill the big one first
4: Go to the mini golems and wait a bit
5: Once Smite is up smite one of the golems and kill them
6: b
7: Go to blue, by the time you get there smite should be close to up so start killing the blue golem and smite it for the kill
8: kill the wolves
9: kill the wraiths
10: kill red

Thats about it, you can gank at pretty much any time. Don't expect to get too many kills with your ganks before you get to lvl 6.

The Definition of the word Gank
Gank is the combination of the 2 words GANg and Kill. As such, you cant gank by your self, because you are not a gang when you are alone.

A gank usually occurs when you are in a lane and a teammate comes out of the bushes or jungle to get a kill.

The basics behind a gank:

The 3 simple steps to a successful gank are as follows:

1. Choose your target, and make sure everyone is on the same page.
2. CC said target so that they can't get away as easially
3. Kill your target

Seems simple enough.

How To Gank

Much like WW, Akali is a really good ganker post lvl 6 seeing as how she has an ability that lets her dash to an enemy at a decently large range.

Ganking with Akali is pretty much just dashing to an enemy and bursting the **** out of them, which you should know how to do if you play Akali.

If you don't play Akali here is how to dash to someone and burst the **** out of them.

What you want to do here is try to get a Mark of the Assassin off on your target while you are still in the bushes, then hit them with Shadow Dance then throw down your Twilight Shroud for the slow. After this, proceed to kill them as you see fit. If the enemy won't get close enough for you to use your Mark of the Assassin just skip it and use it after you use your Twilight Shroud. Akali's ganks improve significantly after you get a Rylai's Crystal Scepter because of all the different slows.
