You can poke them for kinda free with your q, but the real damage only comes if you go towards them and ignore farm. However, that lvl 2 powerspike can cause a really cheesy first blood on most matchups, and your E can help you kill them ez pz come level 3. Your overall goal early is to go on a killing spree and kill their tower plates with demolish.

So, in most matchups, your goal at 6 is to kill your enemy laner for the 2nd-4th time, and roam mid with your ult and help your mid laner and maybe jungler get some tower plates. Then you can invade the enemy jungle, kill the jungler, and take rift for more tower plates, or get dragon. Rift is best at like 11-12 minutes, while drag is better 14 onward. Basically you take your axe and kill everybody with it. Overall a great time for you.

You either split push and use your ult to engage the fights when tension seems to rise and the general mood has an itchy finger, or you can group with your team, kill the assassins, and run down stragglers with your ultimate. Either way, your ult and bear trap management decide your fate. However, unless you are a total god, Skaarl running off in a teamfight will usually result in your death, unless you can fully proc your w, get a 5th auto with your titanic, and land all 5 q bullets on champs.
