I play Nasus as a hybrid DPS. I believe his melee attack is powerful once you have built up your siphoning strikes.

I usually pick up Spirit fire first so I can take out the minions if the other team is pushing hard or to help push the lane that I am in to get the quick tower kill. I then pick up siphoning strikes and last hit minions with it to start building it up. I will lay down the spirit fire then walk around and smash the low health minions with siphoning strike. I alternate between siphoning strike and spirit fire until level 5 and that is when i pick up wither. Usually by this time my siphoning strike is starting to hit a little harder and my lane partner and I should be able to take down any target once we slow him down. You can also use Wither as a Defense against ganks by slowing down the ambush and using Ghost. At level six Grab y
