Teemo Teemo is squishy, and Zed can go over his shrooms whith a bit of intuition. This applies for most ap mids and adcs.

Introduction

It took me a long time to learn Zed. After over 100 games, I roll a 70% win loss with him. But since the recent patch of Blade of the Ruined King, he is a lot weaker.
The alternative it Crit Zed. With Infinity Edge and Youmuu's Ghostblade he gets a large amount of crit possibility. More importantly, it's damage stacks with his Death Mark.

Farming

Zed can farm easily under turrent. Last hitting is also easier. Once again, remember, his passive Contempt for the Weak gives him additional percentage damage, letting you hit the minnions when they have ample health. Also, the lifesteal runes should help you stay in lane for a decent amount of time.

Indepth Laning

When laning, Zed has to play agressive. You should max range farm with Razor Shuriken until you get level your Living Shadow.
After level two, HARASS. Use Living Shadow to poke. If they make the mistake of walking close to the shadow after the poke, use Living Shadow again and harass. Keep applying pressure with this method. Remember, his passive Contempt for the Weak gives him additional percentage damage. So dont be afraid to go after them when they're under, once you've poked.
