Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Okay so, I've been playing LoL for a long time now and didn't really have a main until Irelia came out, lately I've been failing so bad with champions until i started playing Irelia, I've played exactly 9 games with this build and had a positive score 7/9 games and won 6/9, you might be thinking "those stats aren't that good" but shes a new champion, and if you saw the my K/D in most games, you'd probably gorge your eyes out. Anyway, onto the build.
NOT squishy early/mid game (due to health runes and dorans shield)
Ganker (charge + Stun/Slow + Team mate/s = Death)
Quick health Regen (due to Hiten style passive + Bloodthirster)
CC isn't a problem (Passive + Mercury's Treads)
Good at getting first blood (due to Hiten Style dealing your normal attack damage + true damage, and also healing yourself)
Farmer (though Irelia doesn't have an AOE, because this is a AD build she can use her Bladesurge mid/late game to push fast, and it doesn't cost a lot of mana.)
Not very ranged
Ulti sucks (due to having no AP)
Equilibrium Strike doesn't deal much damage (also due to AP)
Need a good laning partner (but who doesn't)
Targeted (due to doing high damage)
Quite squishy late game
I've used the pretty standard melee skills of Exhaust and Ghost, for easy escape and also when it comes to 1 vs 1 fights with another melee, you can just exhaust them then they're pretty useless. Also, when getting ganked, because CC doesn't really effect you, just pop ghost and GTFO.
The health quintessence runes are the only ones that are really needed, and the mana runes help alot, the rest aren't set in stone, so feel free to mess around with them, I just use them because they help me out alot during early game, and i don't really have any issues with mana during the whole game.
First of all, start off by buying doran's shield and a health pot, learn Hiten Style, then make sure to lane with someone who will be able to handle a 2 vs 1 lane mid game. When you reach your lane, if you didn't take to long getting there, make sure to duck in the bush WITH your partner and try for first blood, simply exhaust the squishier target activate Hiten style and ghost/heath pot if needed. If there's 2 enemies I ALWAYS try to activate my health pot just in case the enemy that I'm not focusing targets me, or i take a hit or 2 of the turret. After that, keep playing it safe, always trying to stay in the bush when you can, making it easier to gank and also your enemies won't push so hard.
At level 6/7/8 (depending on how hard they're pushing your lane) tell your laning partner that you're going to jungle, and that they're having a solo lane... make sure you tell them, otherwise if they die, you'll get *****ed at. Also, tell them to call you if they need any help (Gank or Recall). Before you actually go into the jungle, recall to pick up a Vampiric Scepter and your boots, if possible. When jungling, always keep your eye on enemies and lanes, if anyone needs to recall you need to be there. Try going for the blue buff first, but if its not there that's not a problem, your hiten style doesn't cost that much mana, and if you oom that's fine because you don't really need to use a skill at all.
Be sure to join team fights but don't bother if they're too far from you, unless the turrets going to die once its finished. If you're able to farm 150-200 minions then you're guaranteed a win, unless your teams useless or you're feeding.
By level 14ish you should be able to start pushing turrets with your team, try to stick with them for ganks and team fights. Be sure to recall when having enough money for items, get a oracle if needed, though really that's for tank/support champions, but if you have the extra 400 then it wouldn't hurt....
Don't really have much else to add....
I hope this helps, if you have any questions or suggestions I'm all ears. :)
