first I want to excuse me for my english because I am a French originally :D

This is my first guide and I want to share with you one of my favorites Champion : Irelia, the will of blades

I made two guides, one is for an Irelia full AD, DPS and the other is a Tank, AD, DPS and above all, a Life Stealer.

Why Tank ?

An Irelia tank is very useful when she's facing a champion who has a lot of armor resistance like Malphite or Taric.

Why AD ?

this is a silly question, Irelia is intended to do physical damages :D

Why Life Stealer ?

Although her regeneration by attacks we will focus on a better regeneration, by doing this she's going to have a great durability.

Why DPS ?

When we have a Life Stealer, it is important to do more damage quickly, so she can regenerate faster.

Pros : Excellent DPS when have the __Phantom Dancer Can "Jump" with Bladesurge Can stun or slow Very fast movespeed Self healing with W and R Scary with Q and R Can easily solo his line Can gets a critical with 80% __chance Can practically solo an enemy __team with full build

Cons Very squishy without items Can be kited once uses Bladesurge Her mana is rapidly down, so don't __forget to do the Blue Her stun only works if enemy is __above her health

Greater Mark of Desolation - I use Greater Mark of Desolation because we must do some damages to the Champions.


- I use Greater Seal of Resilience because flat armor is just so nice early game for many reasons. It helps against AD harassment, makes minions do almost no damage to you, and gives some extra defense against turrets.


- I use Greater Glyph of Warding because they are very useful against AP. You can get Greater Glyph of Shielding instead if you prefer.


- I use Greater Quintessence of Swiftness because the extra movespeed really helps out and adds to Irelia's already amazing speed. It helps with getting quick last hits, and chasing running opponents. :D

Offense(20) :

Summoner Wrath's (1/1) - With Exhaust, you can Reduce Magic resist ant armor by 10 : very useful for counter attacks by stun the enemy with Equilibrium Strike.

Brute Force (3/3) - So we can do a little more dammages.

Alacrity (4/4) - Although we already have a great attack speed, we are permit to attack faster.

Sorcery (4/4) - Can reduce the cooldown by 4%.

Weapon expertise (1/1) - This master is very important, if you can't go through an armor, life steal is absolutely useless !!!

Arcane Knowledge (1/1) - This is juste for the spell : Equilibrium Strike.

Vampirism (3/3) - To get a bonus of 3% of life steal.

Sunder (3/3) - And more armor penetration.

Defense(9) :

Resistance (3/3) - Gets a value of 6 for magic resistance.

Hardiness (1/3) - Get a little armor resistance, you can do without this because irelia as already a lot of armor resistance.

Durability (4/4) - Offer a bonus of 108 HP for the Champion at level 18.

Veteran's Scars (1/1) - Gives 30 HP.

Utility(1) :

Summoner's Insight (1/1) - This is for Flash, that reduces the cooldown by 15 seconds.

- These are the first boots used at the beginning of the game, that give you a bonus of movement speed.

- Then you'll buy these boots for a bonus of attack speed.

I won't make more details but juste give the big lines :


- At early games, make sure to buy as soon "The Bloodthirster", they are very useful to regain your life quickly.

- Next, buy The Black Cleaver for an increased attack speed, this way you can regen faster your life.

- This is for a percent of chance to make a critical and by the way 55% Attack Speed and 15% Movement Speed.

- This is the last item, an increased Dammages, more chance of a critical and an Unique Passive: +50% critical strike damage.

If I put two Infinity Edge, this is juste for the extra damages and critical chance but if you don't like this way to do, you can for example replace by another Phantom Dancer :D. I think with two Phantom Dancer you can deal 2 dommages per seconds ;D but I've not tested by now (must do it).

I must thanks Pluckin Penguin because I forgot to put something important :

Instead of buying two Infinity Edge, you can replace one by Warmog's Armor, this way, your Irelia will have between 2880 to 3230 HP. I advise to buy it after Black Cleaver.

Buying the Warmog depend on your enemies, just as I said, Irelia can't stand very easily enemies with high armor resistances like Malphite for example, so extra life can be well good.

How to use carefully Irelia's skills ? :D

First take your distances and then all of a sudden use Bladesurge and then directely use Hiten Style to regenerate while do dammages.

I this is not enough and your life is comming less than your enemy, use Equilibrium Strike to stun him and continue to do dammages and regenerating.

You can use Transcendent Blades when there are full of minions to regenerate a lot :3
Or if your enemy is getting away :D

I chose Exhaust for reduces the magic and armor resistance, their damages and slow down the enemy by the way or if this is needed to run away.

Flash - This is useful when an enemy is getting away, use flash then Equilibrium Strike to slow him and finish off.

However, instead of using flash, you can if you want use Ghost, it's practical too for getting away or catch up a Champion.

And Four kills later... wait what ?!? 1 assist OMG fuc**** Xin !!!!


Commited a suicide kill : successful.


Ahah, I have my Phantom Dancer, go for solo dragon !! I could have done dragon earlier but I was too occupied of killing Champions so... I didn't even noticed my big entrance of golds and I had gained about 4000 Gold Oo


That was my last return, and there's nothing to say more, just that how I was feeded, Irelia is now invicible :D

The better things to do with irelia is to go middle to get feeded, like this you can quickly get your first important items.

In the middle of the game, you might have the basic items : Bloodthirster and maybe Black Cleaver, with these you are in the good way.

In the end Game, things are like an amusement park, you see an enemy on the mini map you get there and 1 or 2 seconds later the enemy is dead, another is comming to try to kill you, hop, "jump" on him and ? he's dead haha.

But becareful against tanks with high percent of armor resistance, because you won't regain as much life as he deal on you, so act carfully.
