I started playing Irelia when she first came out, I wasn't very good at last hitting so my friend told me to try her out, needless to say I fell in love with her, being able to get 120 CS in 20 minutes or less is no small feat, she is the queen of CS. With this build you will be able to take advantage of all her skills and do massive damage, while still being tanky as hell.

Typical 9/21/0 it gives you survivabilityand some damage, of course 21 points in the best mastery tree isn't bad either.

Standard Rune setup, mainly for early game dominance over the vast many AD Solo tops like Gangplank and Tryndamere.

Start with Boots and 3 potions if you're against Galio, otherwise Cloth Armor and 5 pots is the way to go. Start by rushing Wit's End no matter what, its a great item if you're against a Solo Top AP like Kennen or Galio, but it also gives you extra damage passive, along with being able to take full advantage of Irelia'sActive and Passive. Merc Treads, the standard for every tanky dps. Phage will give you some Health, AD, and since Irelia only has 1 cc on a long CD it will give you a nice on-hit effect slow when you use your . Atma's is just an obvious choice in the matter, it will give you survivability against those pesky ADs, as well as some much needed AD. Frozen Mallet will be you're best friend when you're trying to chase that Skarner who just got away with 300 Health, remember that your applies on-hit effects. From here on out its all situational, if you're fed I'd go with Madred's Bloodrazor and a Warmogs maybe a Trinity Force for the on-hit effect or if you're getting killed too fast in team fights a Guardian Angel and a Warmogs should help.

Farming with Irelia is very fast and easy and if you're low on health you can auto attack the minons and get the last hits then heal yourself back up, it truly is amazing. When I'm low on health I auto attack the minions, then when they're low enough I useto finish them off and continue. If I have enough health I will walk away from the minions then when its health is low enough I will use to last hit it and walk away and repeat.
