Ivern Gameplay
Ivern is a wierd champion. Let's be honest, he's kind of a tree-hugger (: Anyhoo, Ivern's main function is to shield teammates, pressure opponents with Daisy/rootcaller and shield his allies. He is a backliner but can be aggressive at early game and at certain points in team fights. Try to land a snare with Q as much as you can too allow your team opportunities to engage. At the same time you need to be shielding whoever is taking damage or frontlining. His shield also slows, so shielding a teammate who is chasing or close to an enemy can apply the CC on them. Also, have Daisy out if you feel a fight is about to break out. Daisy will block CC, pressure opponents and do damage. She is your key to survival if you are 1v1 or 2v1. Having Daisy in the middle of the fight is the best choice, but focus her on enemies who are targeting squishies. The key to Ivern is multitasking because you need to poke/snare with Q, apply shields and control daisy during team fights. Once you get the hang of it you will be a monster.
Ivern has high base health regen, so buying items that increase his hp regen allow him to stay in fights longer and support his team. His mana costs are fairly low, so mana regen should be prioritized over just increasing his max mana. Since his shield is his main weapon, having some tank stats, cooldown reduction and hp/mp regen should make him pretty tanky while still being able to do sustainable damage. Capping his cooldown is important because it will allow him to poke and shield more.
Try to keep Daisy alive as long as you can. She will regen Hp if she is not in combat. So, let her be aggresive and scout, but bring her back to heal up and bodyguard you and your team.
The cool thing about Ivern is that you can change his playstyle to aggresive, support utility or tank at anytime. He can also do good damage, but it all depends on how you and your team our doing in the game. But, he will always be focused around his shielding and Daisy.
Jungling Ivern is fairly easy compared to other jungles. You just need to right click the camp and wait out his passive before you consume the camp. Starting either side is fine. If you're on blue side start Blue, go gromp, then wolves, then go back to blue and smite or consume depending on the timing. Then clean up gromp then wolves. Scuttle is always an option, but usually you should right click then smite when you can because scuttle can be taken by the enemy team at anytime. On red side, start Red, then birds and rocks.
Try to gank at lvl 3 if you can since early game is when you are strong compared to other champs. Ivern can survive in fights longer than most champs because of his regen and shield. So, don't be afraid to prolong fights. After a few games of playing him you will start to feel the length he can fight and stay alive.
This isn't a hardcore guide, but a guide to help you better understand Ivern in general and how to play him. Have fun!
