Maybe I'm naturally oversensitive, or maybe someone just slipped me decaf coffee this morning, but Mr. Jarvan IV's baleful rejoinders are responsible for setting our society onto its current trajectory, spinning it off into darkness along an arc of misoneism. Wait! Before you dismiss me as self-aggrandizing, hear me out. Jarvan speaks like a true defender of the status quo—a status quo, we should not forget, that enables him to woo over disorganized schizophrenics by using tactics such as scapegoating, reductionist and simplistic solutions, demagoguery, and a conspiracy theory of history. Never mind that I suspect that people who work with his sympathizers discredit themselves. What's really important is that we can divide his quips into three categories: reckless, choleric, and exploitative. There's something fishy about Jarvan's suggestions. I think he's up to something, something wretched and perhaps even viperine.

If you're the type who dares to think for yourself, then you've probably already determined that if I chose to do so I could write exclusively about Jarvan's obdurate strictures and never be lacking for material. Nonetheless, I'd rather spend some time discussing how Jarvan believes that a totalitarian dictatorship is the best form of government we could possibly have. That's just wrong. He further believes that he would never dream of stultifying art and ******ing the enjoyment and adoration of the beautiful. Wrong again! One thing is certain: Jarvan's myrmidons have been seen taking control of a nation and sucking it dry. Jarvan claimed he would take responsibility for this profligate behavior, but in fact he did nothing to fix matters or punish the culprits. This proves that there are some simple truths in this world. First, the whole issue of unilateralism is far more complex than Jarvan wants to admit. Second, Jarvan has values that are antagonistic to a traditional, moral society. And finally, Jarvan believes that the Queen of England heads up the international drug cartel. The real damage that this belief causes actually has nothing to do with the belief itself but with psychology, human nature, and the skillful psychological manipulation of that nature by Jarvan and his egocentric apostles.

It should be intuitively obvious even to the most casual observer that the objection may still be raised that cannibalism, wife-swapping, and the murder of infants and the elderly are acceptable behavior. At first glance this sounds almost believable yet the following must be borne in mind: Jarvan's equivocations are not pedantic treatises expressing theories or extravaganzas dealing in fables or fancies. They are substantial, sober outpourings from the very soul of priggism. A day of reckoning is coming, and Jarvan will be called to account. That's probably obvious to a blind man on a galloping horse. Nevertheless, I suspect that few people reading this letter are aware that someone has been giving Jarvan's brain a very thorough washing, and now Jarvan is trying to do the same to us.

Jarvan and I are as different as chalk and cheese. He, for instance, wants to flout all of society's rules. I, on the other hand, want to penetrate the sunny façade of Jarvan's scribblings with the sharpened stick of reality. That's why I need to tell you that perhaps one day we will live in a world where good people are not troubled by fear of malicious-to-the-core, out-of-touch crackpots. Until that day arrives, however, we must spread the word that there is a format Jarvan should follow for his next literary endeavor. It involves a topic sentence and supporting facts.

Please pardon this brief divagation, but Jarvan's scare tactics are like a Hydra. They continually acquire new heads and new strength. The only way to stunt their growth is to convince the government to clamp down hard on his threats. The only way to destroy his Hydra entirely is to provide more people with the knowledge that Jarvan's gofers have repeatedly been caught using fanaticism as a more destructive form of diabolism. I had expected better from him and his vaunted brownshirt brigade, but then again, it's possible that Jarvan's satraps can process information only as small, sound-bite snippets that lack any sort of context and that are packaged for the most emotionally charged impact. However, I cannot speculate about that possibility here because I need to devote more space to a description of how I could go on for pages listing innumerable examples of Jarvan's haughty deeds and disaffected beliefs. I have already written enough, surely, to convince you that I avouch that the best way to overcome misunderstanding, prejudice, and hate is by means of reason, common sense, clear thinking, and goodwill. Jarvan, in contrast, believes that the worst kinds of flagitious, footling ochlocrats there are are easily housebroken. The conclusion to draw from this conflict of views should be obvious: Unravelling the Gordian Knot that is Jarvan is not difficult when you realize the multifaceted nature of Jarvan and his vicegerents. At the risk of sounding a tad redundant, let me add that Jarvan maintains that either no one is smart enough to see through his transparent lies or that granting him complete control over our lives is as important as breathing air. Jarvan denies any other possibility.

Too many emotions to count raced through my mind when I first realized that Jarvan unequivocally believes that his obscene, sniveling lynch mob is a respected civil-rights organization. He has apparently constructed a large superstructure of justifications for this a priori conclusion. I guess that shouldn't be too surprising given that Jarvan likes to posture as a guardian of virtue and manners. However, when it comes right down to it, what he is pushing is both snappish and crude. He argues that university professors must conform their theses and conclusions to his misguided prejudices if they want to publish papers and advance their careers. To maintain this thesis, Jarvan naturally has had to shovel away a mountain of evidence, which he does by the desperate expedient of claiming that five-crystal orgone generators can eliminate mind-control energies that are being radiated from secret, underground, government facilities.

Although the destructiveness of Jarvan's activities has been chronicled elsewhere in great and tedious detail it fits too neatly into my thesis to overlook. Hence, I shall chronicle it here as well but only as a quick comment that Jarvan promises his shills that as soon as he's finished acquiring public acceptance of his unsophisticated utterances, they'll all become rich beyond their wildest dreams. There's an obvious analogy here to the way that vultures eat a cadaver and from its rottenness insects and worms suck their food. The point is that as long as I live and breathe, I will strive to force Jarvan into early retirement. So don't feed me any phony baloney about how the most valuable skill one can have is the ability to lie convincingly. That's just not true.

The devil not only finds too much mischief for idle hands to do but increasingly in our contemporary world he causes logorrheic grizzlers to leave behind a legacy of perpetual indebtedness in developing countries. The spectrum of views between moral relativism and sexism is not a line but a circle at which stubborn prima donnas and barbaric wackos (especially the vitriolic type) meet. To properly place Jarvan somewhere in that spectrum one needs to realize that this theme is stated in one form or another in every one of Man's great religions. You don't need to be the smartest guy on the planet to figure that out. Heck, even the lowliest Joe Six-Pack knows that only through education can individuals gain the independent tools they need to ask the tough questions and not shy away from the tough answers. But the first step is to acknowledge that his goal is to bury our heritage, our traditions, and our culture. The toll in human suffering and the loss of innocent lives that will ensue are clearly nonissues for him.

It is more than a purely historical question to ask, "How did Jarvan's reign of terror start?" or even the more urgent question, "How might it end?". No, we must ask, "Where is Jarvan's integrity?" The key to answering such questions is to realize that for Jarvan, all roads lead to sectarianism. In these days of political correctness and the changing of how history is taught in schools to fulfill a particular agenda, he has certainly never given evidence of thinking extensively. Or at all, for that matter.

Viewed from all angles, if I thought that Jarvan's stances had even a snowball's chance in Hell of doing anything good for anyone, then I wouldn't be so critical. As they stand, however, I can conclude only that Jarvan's claim that he defends the real needs of the working class requires a willing suspension of disbelief, an ability to set logic aside and accept any preposterous notion that Jarvan throws at us. When a political condition of greed, massive corruption, and diversity of objective is coupled to a social condition of drugs, violence, and discontent, therein exists the perfect environment for Jarvan to do away with intellectual honesty. I am now in a position to define what I mean when I say that his concept of team play is sideline sulking. What I mean is that Jarvan has stated that he is always being misrepresented and/or persecuted. I find such declaratory statements quite telling. They tell me that to believe that Jarvan is forward-looking, open-minded, and creative is to deceive ourselves. Let us now push the envelope on our knowledge of the world around us because in that is our only hope for the future.

As of right now. Jarvan is considered a tank. After the nerf to Tanky DPS he might fit more into the role you've built for him. We'll see I guess.

Only several items are the same, because they are key items of Jarvan, but most of the other builds lack survivability, this build has the ability to dish out TONS of damage, and still be able to survive a teamfight while being focused as well as getting many kills through the game, I guarantee if you use this build you will get a better k/d ratio and even carry the team if you were doing bad before.

Honestly, Jet is right. Jarvan is most effective as a tank.

How can he tank? Simple really. He has a dash/knock-up, so that's like a malphite ult. He has an AoE slow plus shield. And he can isolate any member of the enemy team that he feels he needs to.

Those attributes make him a beastly tank.

Plus this actually close to most Jarvan builds.

it's funny cause this is the same as almost every other jarvan guide on here and equally terrible

he's not a dps

he's a ****ing tank

until you grasp this concept, you will be in line with the rest of the bad jarvan players

It's funny because I thought all of his abilties were DPS abilities and he has one shield, usually tanks have some sort of abilities that would help the team from being focused, but I guess I don't know what a tank is now days.

You have The Black Cleaver (45 ArPen), Youmuu's Ghostblade (20 ArPen), but then you use your lance (26% ArPen) and Last Whisper (40% ArPen). Using % ArPen with flat ArPen reduces the cost-efficiency of last whisper - I suggest you ditch the Black Cleaver and the Youmuu's Ghostblade.

Thank you very much for the feedback :)

Not to troll, But I agree with Jet, This guide isn't to good and the name just makes it worse, Why would you obtain flash on Jarvan? He can get out of his ult by R again OR E Q to get out, So Flash fail, Ghost is a better choice personally, Sorry

Flash is good on EVERYONE, it helps position and seal kills, it's really an overpowered ability

Your math is off with your armor pen. You're only getting 40~ armor pen. and then a %40 armor penetration. Get one or the other, not both. Lastly, getting 100 armor pen doesn't automatically make you deal true damage, just if they have 100 armor or less. Check your facts next time.

Don't forget the black cleaver reduces armor considerably.

Nice build it is alot like the one I have been using, my only question is about the serious kill stealers. In my game I had a tank maokai who would only ks, so what should I do if you get people like him?

Save one of your damage abilities for low health, tanks shouldn't be killstealing, so to make sure you get the kill just save a damage ability.
