+1 good guide, though I have some things I disagree on.
You can still pull off a successful gank when enemy team is not a pusher lane, what is important is to gank early and your lane has a stun. Because in early game mid usually have really low hp, so 1 stun, 1 knockup + auto attack and redbuff should be easy fb.
I haven't tried wits end, but hex drinker is also another good alternative, gives you a spell shield, and good early game damage. Late game it upgrades to Maw and its still a great damage item with MR and spell shield.
First of all, I really appreciate your feedback and your insight. I didn't really mean to say that you should only gank as Jarvan IV when they have an enemy team. I simply wanted to point out that you would have an easier time if they had a pusher. You could still easily gank a non pusher, but it's just easier against a puhser. For the maw, I thought that it wasn't that good of an item on Jarvan IV because all you are really doing is jumping into a fight and tanking everything. The passive on it really won't be used to it's full potential than, lets say, an Olaf. I don't mean that you can't use maw, I just find Wit's End is a better pick due to the passive magic damage it gives.
