If bad early, snowballs
If against ranged, you probably screwed (It depends on how good they are and how high of a counter they are)
Some champs out scale him and beat him in lane
FYI: These are not all the Pro's and Con's. These are just some of the main ideas.
Tips
Use your stun a second before you jump to an enemy to do a jump-stun (sometimes you can jump then stun to block more basic attacks).
You're ult passive does MASSIVE damage on turrets
If you are running from a team fight and you think you will die, use your ult for the amour defense and magic resistance
You can jump to wards and allies
If you don't want warmogs then try a Sunfire Cape.
