|Hola, I'm SuperMucho, And This My Zed Jungle Guide. I've put in a lot of effort into this guide and I strive my best to update it daily. The season 6 changes applied to Zed and all these new items have made him a LOT stronger. His abilities are unique in a way that makes him effective in all aspects of the game, and he is able to adjust to what his team needs. Placing him in the jungle is a new twist to the meta, but also allows many variations on his play style and builds!
Enough waiting, allow me to introduce to you my Zed jungle guide! With all the hard work I put into this guide, and reviews/upvotes would be deeply appreciated. I request you do not downvote until you've tried this out yourself. And finally, I hope you enjoy my Jungle In The Shadows Zed guide! :D

Zed and his shadow both throw their spinning blades forward, dealing damage to any targets they pass through.
It's your copycat shadow.
Zed's shadow dashes forward, remaining in place for 4 seconds, and mimicking his spell casts. Zed can reactivate to swap places with the shadow. Zed's Attack Damage is passively increased.
Circular ninja arm-flail.
Zed and his shadow spin their blades, creating a burst of shadow energy. The shadow's spin slows.
The Killer Of All.
Zed leaves a shadow behind and dashes to target Champion, marking them for death. After 3 seconds, the mark will trigger, dealing a percentage of the damage Zed has dealt while the mark was active.
|We want this item for the Extra Armor & Bonus Speed it provides, so that we can take a bit more damage, while having that little boost of speed.|
|When you find yourself being unexpectedly attacked or just straight up dueling, the back-up Shield, 25% AD Bonus, and Size Increase that kicks in when you need it helps you have the edge in the fray.|
|This item is literally built for Zed, in a nutshell it's like a second Death Mark.|
|Besides the Armor bonus, this meat shield also gives movement speed and when you auto-attack half that speed bonus gives you bonus AD.|
|With all this armor and health we need some magic resist too fight off those annoying ability power champions.|
- Greater Mark of Attack Damage: Even though we are going tank, Zed still needs some damage to get him through the jungle & make sure he isn't completely useless.
- Greater Seal of Armor: This just makes him less squishy overall, the bonus armor is pretty nice all stages of the game.
- greater Glyph of Scaling CD Reduction: These are just here to help with shortening the cooldowns of your abilities.
- greater Glyph of Scaling M.Resist: We got all this armor we probably need some magic shielding as well.
- greater quint of damage: Just more damage.
- greater quint of attack speed:
Jungle Farming & Ganking
|Q: How Do I Farm The Jungle?||// Living Shadow, Shadow Slash, Razor Shruiken, Shadow Slash. Use that combo to initiate the camps, then keep spamming your Shadow Slash, along side with auto-attacks should be able to clear camps.|
|Q: How Do I Gank?||// Ideally, you want to be level 6 so you can have your deathmark ready to chase him off.
If you do decide to gank early because the enemy is pushed up, make sure you are able to land your Live Shadow's Shadow Slash to slow your opponent.
If you do have Death Mark, just try to do as much damage/slows you can, then if that doesn't do it just Death Mark to finish the job.
|Q: Should I Do This In Ranked?||// I highly suggest you don't, just because it is risky and there are many other more viable junglers that carry games!|
Frequently Asked Questions
|Q: What Summoner Spells Should I Take?||// The basic jungling spells Smite & Flash are the most obvious choices.|
|Q: Why build Zed jungle with tank items?||// Tt's not like this build takes away all the damage. It gives Zed enough damage to decently fight, as well as a semi-tanky frontline to soak damage for his team.|
|Q: What Gave You The Idea To Make This Build?||// To be honest I misclicked Zed jungle last second in champ select, tried it out and it worked. I continued to play games with it and eventually got the hang of it.|
Zed's Story by Riot Games
Zed is the first ninja in 200 years to unlock the ancient, forbidden ways. He defied his clan and master, casting off the balance and discipline that had shackled him all his life. Zed now offers power to those who embrace knowledge of the shadows, and slays those who cling to ignorance.
An orphan, Zed was taken in and trained by a great ninja master. Only one other student appeared to be Zed's equal - the master's son, Shen. It seemed Zed could never win the favor of the master, as every match between the rivals ended in a draw. Frustrated and jealous, he sought an advantage. The young ninja ventured into a sealed part of the clan's temple, where he found an ornate, foreboding box. Sensing the dark knowledge within, Zed knew he should not open it, but he peered inside nonetheless. In an instant, shadows touched his mind, revealing techniques that had long been hidden. Now armed with a secret edge, he challenged Shen, and this time he defeated the master's son. He expected praise and recognition in his moment of victory, but somehow the master knew Zed had used forbidden ways, and banished him.
Humiliated, the young ninja wandered for years. His bitterness turned to ambition, and he began to train others in the style of the shadows. As his power grew, so did his circle of followers, but he knew that without the box, his technique would never be perfect. One day, Zed looked at his followers and saw that his students were now an army. He led them back to the temple to claim his prize. At the gates, he was surprised to find the old master waiting, receiving Zed and his disciples as if they were welcome guests. The old man laid his sword at Zed's feet, declaring that he had failed Zed as his master. By banishing his former student, the master had doomed Zed to the shadows, instead of leading him to the balanced path. The old man implored Zed to enter the temple, destroy the box, and lead his followers to balance. The dark ninja followed the master inside. Moments later, the assembled ninjas heard Zed cry out in pain. Mysteriously, he emerged unscathed, and threw the severed head of the master at Shen's feet. Screaming in rage, Zed commanded his followers to slaughter the master's students and seize the box.
That day, the old ninja order fell. Though many students died, some escaped thanks to Shen's heroic efforts. Now the temple is a dark training ground for the Order of the Shadow. Zed rules as the Order's master, and his edict is simple: perfect one's technique, and kill all ninjas who refuse to embrace the shadows.
