Hello and welcome to my first guide on mobafire ever featuring Katarina in the midlane. You will be shown the build, masteries and runes of the korean diamond player Eightdot who is a katarina main.

My name is Alex aka ASOT currently climing the ladder. I'm Platinum IV at the moment at the Europe West server. I've been maining Katarina since season 2 and been through all the buffs, nerf and changes to my beloved Katarina making me a pretty experienced Katarina player who knows both the pros and cons of the current Katarina in this meta. I have a 65% winrate at the moment and 60%+ last season. Note that this is not my personal foundation of the runes and masteries but only an easy guide of the korean solo queue god Eightdot's way of plaing Katarina who I've been trying out for the last 2 weeks and it got me from Gold I to Platinum IV. Katarina fits the current meta really well in solo queue in my opinion since she is a very strong assassin with loads of aoe and one shot possibility. With the passive she can also basicly 1v5 a whole team if they don't have enough cc wich makes her lethal at all points in the game
