Hello and welcome to my 2nd build here on Mobafire.
In this build I want to show you how I play Kog'Maw.
I think Kog should be played as a dps, I played Kog many times on ap, but dps is much better, deals more dmg in short time and makes much fun.

I start withbecause, if you get ganked or something else, you can run out of the situation faster, or you can hunt s.o early game better with your Bio - Arcane Barrage.
With the boots I purchase every game 2 ofand one .
Why not two Health Potions?
I think, you need only one, because Kog'Maw's skills cost much mana and if you use them often you go out of mana really fast. So I decided to purchase two of Mana Potion instead of Health.
The 1st (1st real item) is. I use it, because your Bio-Arcane Barrage. If you attack really fast, than shouldn't be a tank or s.o else a problem. Of course, you can purchase other boots like:
If you want to deal more dmg with your skills, purchase this one.
You purchase it, when you have much CC's on the enemy team, like Ryze (Stun), Nasus (slow) and so on.
Now you should purchase this, because your AS grow up really high and your Barrage is very dangerous with high AS.
Why so late?
Simple question, I'm more focused on AS at the early game as the LS. Yeah, it gives: Dmg, LS and health, but more AS makes your Barrage dangerous and this should be your first target.
With the Dorans blade I purchase theto get 15% LS. With it you can stay now longer on a lane, or heal yourself by minions after a team fight.
After you farmed a bit on minions or champs, you should purchaseto get at least your Madreds Bloodrazor
This makes you really dangerous, now you have 2 items, who gives you bonus dmg, so a tank should not be a problem. It reduces the magic armor, so the're helpless against your Barrage. In the most of all games I couldn't buy more than Berserker shoes, Madreds Bloodrazor and Malady.
In this row you should buy these items, 1st Zeal than Cloak of Agility and at least the combo of them Phantom Dancers.
Why I choose Phantom Dancers?
I use this Item, because it gives you more Attack Speed and Movement Speed + a bit crit chance. The crits are really dangerous when you get The Black Cleaver or the Lizzard Buff. I did great matches with it and I wouldn't sell it or dont purchase it.
These items are the last and gives you the needed power. The Black Cleaver reduces the armor, which you can attack him with your Barrage and look how your target goes really fast down. The BT (Bloodthirster), gives you the little kick,you gain 25% LS and 100 more dmg. But you have to kill some Minions to get the Bonus stats!

I choose for Kog'Maw a 9-0-21 mastery build, The 9 points in Attack gives you more Magic Pen, Ap per level, a bit crit chance and CdR.
The 21 gives you a longer duration of your Ghost, CdR by Flash, mana reg, CdR, more exp and so on.
I think, these are the best summoner spells, because Kog hasn't much escape mechanism and ignite or something else you dont need, cause you deal really much dmg after you have all your Items. But you can change the spells like you want, it's only my opinion.
Greater mark of alacrity
I use 9 of them, because you really need the high Attack Speed for your dangerousness.
Greater quintessence of insight
It gives you the needed Magic Pen for your Bio-Arcane Barrage and your ulti Living Artillery.
Greater seal of strength
A bit dmg doesn't hurt :P

Caustic spittle is Kog'Maw's Q skill.
Passive: Increases Attack Speed by 10/15/20/25/30%
Active: Deals 60/110/160/210/260 +(70% Ability Power) damage to the target as well as reducing their armor by 5/10/15/20/25.
I only use this skill for a little help in a 1o1, it reduces the enemys armor and deals 260 extra dmg by using it. It has a short range, so don't use ist often, only in 1o1.
This is his W skill
On use causes your attacks to have an increased 140/180/220/260/300 unit range as well as making your attacks do an additional 2/3/4/5/6% of the target's health in damage (+1% of your AP). This effect lasts for six seconds.
This is your main skill, use it when you have to fight over a high range or use it by tanks and so on. It deals very high extra dmg, so use it by every enemy champ, ofc you can use it by hard minions like Baron or Dragon etc.
Kog'Maw's E skill
Sprays ooze in front of you at a fairly long range which deals 60/110/160/210/260+(70% AP) to any enemies it passes through. Additionally it slows enemies who pass through the trail left behind by 28/36/44/52/60% of their movement speed.
I only use this skill for a little utility by fights, but in team fights a must, it has a nice slow, so you can use it by hunting or if you have to run away.
You fire an artillery ooze at an incredible range (1400/1700/2000) which falls after a short delay dealing 80/120/160 + (30% AP) magic damage and reveals targets for 4 seconds. Damage to champions is increased by 150%. Every subsequent cast within 6 seconds costs an additional 50 mana, up to a maximum of 250 additional mana.
Use it whenever you can, but I use it only every 6 seconds except if you really really need it for crush an enemy. It helps by teamfights, scouting and by many other things.
Upon dying, Kog'Maw starts a chain reaction in his body which causes him to move faster and detonate after 4 seconds; dealing 100+ (25x your lvl) true damage to surrounding enemies.
I love his passive, it allows you if, you get focused, to deal extremely high damaga in a team fight or to huntig an enemy if you lost a 1o1 and your enemy has low hp.
At least I give some tips.
-Never ever go in front of a tank or somone with high hp, stay behind and try to deal damage with your AoE's like: Void Ooze and Living Artillery. And search for a target to deal massive damage with Bio-Arcane Barrage.
-Try to do your ulti with high distance, that enemys dont know where you are, or scout the Baron, if the enemy fight him, or if they already have him. You can use Living Artillery also for helping by Baron with high distance, but you have to hit him exactly!
-If you do a solo lane, try to attack your enmy with Bio-Arcane Barrage, for harrassing.
Ok guys, this was my 2nd build, I hope you give me a feedback and some tips, how I can do my builds better. I excuse me for my english, but I'm german.
