Ⅰ. Intro
Hello everyone! I am TheKingsPawn and this is my first guide in MobaFire about one of my favorite champions, Lee Sin The Blind Monk. I have played around 450 games with him, so i thought to share my experience. He is a solo top / jungle bruiser with great mobility, and gets to deal ton of damage while being tanky! Although he is pretty punishing with new players (due to the fact that you need a high skill cap to be truly effective) and most of them tend to fail pretty hard (including myself) in the first 10~12 games. But once you get the hang of him then you will be able to see his true potential!
Warning!
I. This is a SITUATIONAL GUIDE. That mean you will not be able to win EVERY game following this exact build. This guide will try to help you respond better depending the circumstances and teach you (try at least :D) how to think as a proper Lee Sin! BEFORE VOTING make sure you try it. Please leave some constructive feedback in the comments! I am also sorry if i made some grammar or spelling mistakes, but english is not my natural language. Feel free to correct me.
II. Items & Situation items section coming up.
III. Summoners Spells Section coming up.
Pros
+ Crazy AD ratios (2.0 on Dragon's Rage!) + Awesome early-mid game! + Really fast Jungler with great sustain! + Possibly one of the greater duelist! |
Cons
- His abilities have low base damage, which makes him item dependant. - Bad transition from mid to late game. - His ganks are very powerful, but really hard to pull off correctly. - Requires good positioning and good map awareness. |

Start at wolves (Respawns every 60 seconds after getting killed.) using a Vampiric Scepter and Iron Will. This will give 50% of the EXP you need for level 2. Attack and kill the big wolf first then the rest. Do not use smite here!
Now after that you have 2 options. If the enemy team doesn't have a jungler then go steal their wraith(Same Respawn time as wolves.) and then head for the red buff(Respawns 5 minutes after getting killed.) If they DO have a jungler think about his jungling speed, and if you will be able to go in, steal red, then go back to your jungle. Also don't forget that some champions have really low HP when attemping to kill red (ex. Olaf, Master Yi).
Then you can make your move and hide in the brush waiting for him to come. Then "You have slain an enemy!" will come blowing out of your speakers! Example : If the enemy team has Udyr jungling who has a very fast jungle speed and a good sustain due to Wingborne Storm, then just proceed normally to kill wraiths, your red and gang. But if they have a jungler such Fiddlesticks who is slower than you then go for it!
SPACESPACE
Next once you have red, don't go to kill golems, don't recall (If you are going to say that you have low HP you are just making excuses up.)There is one thing for you to do. GANK. If no lane is available go for the enemy jungle, or even their jungler! If they don't have a jungler and ALL lanes are pushed then just proceed to give your mid lane blue buff, DO NOT TAKE IT FOR YOURSELF. YOU DO NOT NEED IT MORE THAT AN AP CASTER (Although it gives energy regen). Once you reach level 6~7 and you have your Wriggle's Lantern, place a Vision Ward in the river on dragons side (if not already warded by your support), call for some help from bottom and mid lane, kill it, and go for a gang.
You need to take Summoner's Wrath in TT because :
It give you a HUGE advantage in Twisted Treeline! Simply because it is what makes one of the most fearsome early game duelists! Why? Once you start trading auto-attacks with the enemy champion and you are able to understand that he is aggressive and going for the kill, wait until you are left with half health(Do not use Sonic Wave yet!). Then the fun begins! Immediately pop Ignite + Exhaust, then use Sonic Wave but don't use resonating strike(!), boosting yourself with 5 AD and decreasing the enemy's armor by 10 while rendering him almost useless for 3 seconds and dealing 75 true damage! These stats may not seem much but early on they are the ones that will decide who will win. Anyway at this point your opponent will have one bar of health(100hp) and you will have around 200 and he WILL try to escape (Flash, ghost e.t.c) so now is the time to use resonating strike and BAM "You have slain an enemy!". With some practice you will be able to memorize the counter on Resonating Strike before it goes on cooldown and cast it 0.5 secs before it does! (I hope that makes sense :D)
