Well for starters the name of the guide doesn't even focus on Vlad at all so i think thats a fail right there and maybe find a new title then to just give off the appeal its a guide that beats Valdimir in mid the surest way how.... and for the mid champs that you mention that would give you trouble in mid are actually pretty bad champs that Lux has no issue picking part. Lux dominates a lane with her massive Skill Shot Range and constant threat of a Full Lane Nuke of a ultimate. Most melee's wouldn't be able to get close to her in the first place to be of any threat.

Clarity I presume to be a bad choice on Lux and Meki Pendant seeing that you don't even upgrade it to a tear of Goddess or anything .... taking Ghost/Ignite with a Doran's Ring is a much better choice. Late game, clarity gives only so much mana, and if you see yourself spamming abilities for more then 1300 Mana in 1 minute, then grab a Blue Buff, CDR and unlimited amount of mana pool. Doran's Ring gives HP / AP / and Mana Regen and with your Masteries and Runes, playing smart, and not wasting skills will mean endless amount of mana early game you will never run out.

Magic Resist item is pretty useless, only one i recommend is Banshee's Veil and thats mainly for the CC cancelation just in case someone tries to jump at you with a stun or silence from behind when a team fight breaks out. Armor is her best friend because alot of melee's will pick you apart late game if you dont have the damage output to take them out in 3 shots.

Getting over 1000 AP with this build is not possible 780 with Baron yes .. but 1000 no, you have to stack Archangel Staffs and Deathcap to get that high and doing so i believe is stupid, with no survivability of your own and way better AP items that yes give less AP but have strong effects that works wonders with Lux ... Lich Bane / Deathfire Grasp and on top of that your counting on your Channeling Skill Shot to even land the 1300 Blow from ur Laser ... and if it doesnt you have to wait 24 seconds for it to come up again .. and in that time, the other team would be smart to just truck you right in the face ...

Lastly this really isnt a guide, just a item build preference explaination on what you use, you don't really explain what Lux does or her roles or anything ... missing alot information that could help those that are new to Lux....

Why not buy a magic resist item instead of armor? lux has quite high base armor for a mage

I actually need to edit it & extend the guide beyond what I've written. Mid-game if there is no Karthus, I wouldn't bother getting the Hourglass, but instead just start stacking Hats. Also the Spirit Visage looks like it could be a good alternative to the Frozen Heart. Last few weeks I've been ending up with Sorcerer's Shoes, Mejai's Soulstealer & 4 Rabadon's Deathcaps. I've extended my AP far over 1000 and 1 shot some squishies like Veigar for instance.

Nice build and great guide. I play Lux with a build similiar and I usually go mid. Aslong as they aren't a tanky champion I do well. +1 for me because this is how I play her and also you might want to put some emphathis on auto attacking after each skill as it really adds some nice damage early game. Just a thought ;D

Why do you go for the Rylai's? Doesn't most of her spells already either slow, or bind anyway? Seems like building for an archangels instead (while more expensive) might be a better use of your money. Just something to think about, good build otherwise. While i personally can't say that Lux is the best (or even all that amazing) mid, you still get a +1 from me good sir!

I appreciate the +1 (^.^)b
To each their own. I believe moba has a copy build function if you wanna mod it. I like it how it is atm tho. Works well for my playstyle.

Tristana should be cake if your Lux. Your just not doing it right then. Lux is a stupendous mid champion. The Doran's ring won't supply you with enough mana to fully her*** champions like Vladamir, keep their health down AND kill them. If you suck and overextend too much, or aren't getting your auto attacks in after each ability hits your target, then that would be the only reason I could see getting a Doran's Ring, just for the AP. Even on a side lane I would not get Light Binding first. Ya... it could, but not likely lead to a early gank, but you'd be stuck with an ability that can't easily reach your opponents with minions in the way. Lucent Singularity can hit both your opponent AND/or minions. If on a side lane you need to keep off your own tower, so the tower doesn't eat up all your gold. Here are the scores for last night I received while playing Lux before writing this build: 10/3/11, 15/2/17, 16/4/10 & 10/5/14. Also I should let you know that I mid all 4 of these games and the enemy team surrendered between 25 and 40 minutes each game. I rolled with 2 seperate premades & one game was solo with pugs. If you don't believe me, add me to your friends and look up my profile it's not hard.

Hmm so.Item build good i like it(playing nearly same)but with ur mana regen runes u dont need meki Pedant Doran ring should be alot better.Lux on mid is not good...I was playing 1 time on mid and Tristana was really hard she dont have heal lifesteal nothing so for me thats not better idea. And last one on Double lane Binding first and then max E skill.Lux is 1 of the best support great nuker and shes ulti is great for team fights so i think lux on double lane is better. But sill i will +1.
