I changed some some small things, but the main phylosophy was the same.

math crafting... :)
I have worked on this problem with a friend of mine.
With google formula (to plot math curves) we were able to answer the question.
To put it simple:
imagine damage runes on the one hand and armor penetration runes on the other hand as two math curves. Both are falling because of more and more armor is attached.
There is a point each curves are crossing each other. At start the armor penetration runes are better. If u put up more and more armor at some point the ad runes are better. (that is no mistake!)
BUT!! here was my mistake, with an ad carry u will get very fast a high amount of attack damage and the point of crossing is nearly not reachable. That means because of getting more damage and because with an carry u want to kill the other to carries (with armor at 70-100 max) armor pen is much better! (up to 10% with quints too)

Could u please give me an example calculation why armpen marks are better then flat damage marks?
my example:
me: 50 damage; enemy: 30 armor
when I would have a damage output of 50 and 9 flat damage marks -> 50 + (9 x 0.95 = 8.55) = 58.55 damage
9 armpen marks -> 9 x 1.66 = 15 armpen (14.95)

58 damage on 30 armor -> 58 x (100/130) = 44.6 damage
50 damage on 15 armor left -> 50 x (100/115) = 43.5 damage

next step, the enemy got 35 BONUS armor, same damage and armpen
58 damage on 65 armor -> 58 x (100/165) = 35.15 damage
50 damage on 50 armor left -> 50 x (100/150) = 33.33 damage

If u ask me, armpen is ****, with Pantheon even more...

Among other Pantheon Guides this one was my favorite!!! thumbs up man!! this guide is not just very useful yet for me very entertaining.. I love the balance and the logic of your build and by the way I got my first QUADRA KILL with this build ending the game without even finishing [Randuin's Omen] and I strongly agree that [Philosopher's Stone] is very effective about lane sustain plus the ability to harass them all day
