Introduction

Hello and welcome to my Gangplank build. Gangplank can be a very good offtank dps with amazingly high crits If you follow this guide you will be able to Dominate your opponent, but dont follow this guide 100% their are times when more armor or health might be better than more damage.

Runes

For the runes I get Arpen Reds Flat mana regen yellows and Crit chance blues.

I get the Arpen ofcourse to penetrate their armor.

I get the mana regen yellows so early game you can spam parrrley to farm effectively and harass the opponent at the same time.

I Get Crit chance blues so that when you do hit them with parrrley you are more likely to take half their hp especially early game.

Pros / Cons

+ Very good early game if crits land -Squishy until lategame
+ High damage poke at long range - Focused
+ Snowballs very easily - Relies on RNG (random number generation)

Items

I start off with brawlers and 2 hp pots, The reason behind this is if i can get a crit or two early game it makes it a lot easier to get first blood and let you snowball and the pots of course are for sustain.

I then build the gloves into a zeal for a bit of movement speed and more critchance and attack speed, after that we need to get our boots of speed so we can get in hit parrrley and get out without taking anydamage.

After you get your boots you want to Rush your infinity edge, I usually like to start by getting the cloak first but if you are landing enough crits you might want to get more damage for them first.

After you get your infinity edge its very situational and build what feels right, Getting killed alot? Build a warmogs or frozen heart Enemies keep barely escaping? build a frozen mallet for a longer slow on parrrley

Farming

Gangplank is an excellent farmer especially after he gets his infinity edge you can clear whole waves really fast one hitting minions,

Early game farm is very important on gangplank, If you fall behind on gangplank you fall behind HARD so you want to stay ahead in CS at all times and get your items first, Always use parrrley to last hit for that extra gold if possible.

Summoner Spells

For summoner spells you want to take heal because you are really squishy early game and lack sustain as Remove scurvy isn't a significant heal yet,

For your second spell I recommend Ignite it helps a lot with first blood and snowballing

You can also take flash to help you escape or get in range for that last hit parrrley
Back to Top

Laning

For your laning phase you want to always be last hitting minions and have map awareness so you can help out with your ultimate,

How can you help others with your ultimate you ask?

You can slow an enemy gank allowing your teammate to escape,

You can last hit that champion that just escaped with 10hp behind his turret,

You can use it to slow a champion your teammates are chasing

You also don't want to engage the enemy opponent to much just poke with your Q until they are low, Late game your auto attacks rock though,

Make sure if you are laning versus someone with CC dont intiate with Remove scurvy on CD or they will stun and burst you.

Try to zone your opponent as much as possible, You are SCARY to them, You can hit half their hp with one hit.
