Pretty much every jungler faces that threat. It's just another obstacle you have to get used to, as a jungler. But keep in mind that the more they mess with you, the further ahead your allies will get, in farm (hopefully). Jungling is a totally different beast from laning. Some love it, some hate it. That's just how it is.

I've fallen in more for the armor pen runes, lately, because I don't always find myself going with heavy crits on yi. This could be in part to the fact that i've been jungling on him a lot lately, and they do help speed that up a good bit, as well as compliment the items i build on my jungle yi. I dunno. Either is probably fine for lane. even hybrid like you have it.

I just never take more than one point in perseverance. ever :P. personal bias.

With your attack speed comment, just there, I suddenly had an odd desire to try out a heavy on-hit effects yi build :D. Any how, one item i've found that's just absolutely absurd on yi is Ghostblade. even without the active, it's amazing, but with it... well, for starters, there's no more need to burn your ult on towers ever again. Give it a shot, if you haven't already.

Tried ghostblade a few times, hard decision between it and phantom but I prefer the extra crit on phantom. It is a nice item though. Lol I'm going to try an on hit effect build now. Will add it to my build if its good ;D

Thanks for feedback and vote.

Your statements about jungle Yi I agree with, but I stay away from it because most high level premade or ranked games will have enemies warding or with clairvoyance attempting to shut down junglers.. not sure if that's just my bad luck in games but I always see it.

Runes: I don't even know honestly. I like full ArPen as much as anyone else but the amount of critical hits you dish out with this build I felt it needed some crit damage runes to compliment it.. But I still wanted to keep some ArPen.. decisions decisions q_q

Masteries: Can't really decide this though. If a game does happen to go long enough, yes 6 or 7 seconds off your death timer can be helpful, but I rarely see games continue that long. At the same time though, I know perseverance is pretty terrible.. It all sucks ;(

Skill Order: Thanks for picking that up. Thought that I had it noted somewhere in the guide, but must have slipped my mind when I wrote it. edited~

Items: I'd rather just take the entire item sequence up the top out to be honest - It's just a cookie cutter base build that works decently. I always play according to my core/situational items sections. Over time I've picked up a skill of timing cleanse well against CC's so merc treads aren't always my top pick. The BF sword between starks and phantom dancer - Yes this is a good idea. I don't do it however because I prefer faster AS for the lifesteal and quicker double strike procs. Entirely playstyle based, works for me.

Definitely give Jungle Yi a shot. Saintvicious briefly covers Jungle Yi in a guide. I personally feel it's the most viable way to play Yi. Yi is most dangerous when he's 1) not visible on your map or 2) knocking down your back door. both of these become more frequent realities with a jungle character, as the opposing team lacks the vision on you that they would otherwise have on a laning character.

A couple notes, ideas, suggestions, stupid junk, and so forth:
Runes: The only thing I'd probably change here is go for critical strike damage quints as well as marks. That, or stack armor pen marks and quints. I like my mirrored runes.
Masteries: Perseverance is rancid and terrible. By level 18 with all your items, it'll add about .4 health regen per second. and essentially no mana regen. 10% off your death clock can save a game much more frequently than that 24 extra health you got back over the course of a minute at level 18.
Skill order: I'd get a point in meditation at 4. the 100 armor and m-res can save your life in so many different ways. If you wait till 7 to get it... well... let's just say karthus is mid, and therefore, reaches 6 before you're at 7 with meditate. you're low health. he ults from mid. you die. w/meditate, you don't. forward that logic to vs lux, gangplank, cait... etc. sensible?
items: I almost never go for berserker greaves any more. I used to swear by them, but I find they really don't pay off with all the CC people are throwing around now. On almost all my melee characters, I go for merc treads. the tenacity and magic resistance will allow you to shrug off those CC's and stay in the fight a little longer. Plus, with this build, you'll quickly have plenty of attack speed to compensate, regardless. On ranged AD carries, it makes a bit more sense, as... well, you have range. If you get rooted, you can often still hit people. My only other commentary is regarding how late you get infinity edge -- or any damage boosting item for that matter. After 6k gold spent, you'll still only do base + wuju damage. I'd suggest getting a BF sword, right after starks, to boost your damage to a moderately scary range, once again.
overall, i like it. +1
cheers!

Troll vote or what? You're just going to leave the down vote because you didn't bother reading the whole items section I wrote up and judged it based off the very top section? I went over all the things you said. All I'm seeing in your comment is 'I didn't read the guide and they aren't the exact items I would use -1'

Something I think any AD Carry needs is Armorpen and banshee. I like how you get lots of lifesteal but without your armor pen you won't deal enough damage to return the health. And also any CC will shut you down and make you unable to lifesteal. this build might be good for solo queu, but if you are against a well coodinated 5man premade, no way this build will work because they WILL get armor and WIll cc you and focus you down very easily

Mmm, yeah i checked that AP on meditate ingame.. my bad. Anyways, I think its good to have high attack speed without ultimate aswell, later on I've written I replace the starks for another bloodthirster which lowers it a little as well. Im not sure, I like the early game boost starks gives but I might try a few games replacing starks and directly getting a bloodthirster.. Also, the reason I want two phantom dancers is primarily the crit chance, not attack speed. The build's based around crits mainly.

Meditate's tooltip says 30% of total Ability Power, am I missing something :S?
And the high attack speed is for the quick lifesteal to keep you alive against multiple targets, hitting >1k a hit so mayaswell do it fast lol, a squishy will be dead in <2 seconds. AS also helps for backdooring if you need to
