I'm actually a relatively new player, but I watch a lot of ranked games and it influences my play style and strategies. Anyways, I know Skarner is not the most played character in Season 3, but I just like him and wanted to make him work. I experimented with a lot of builds and then saw this in the recommendations. I said, "F - it, high elo build it is." My first real PVP with a toplane Skarner: 20/8/17. It was like being an ADC. This guide works.

Good guide. I like myself to put champs into a different role than suggested. I was one of the first playing AP Yi and you already know my AP Udyr. I would say AS marks are another viable option here, since his CDR relies on his AS.

Nope, Udyr.^^ It has for him a 4 seconds cooldown with max CDR and a 5 seconds duration.

Finally another Skarner player that rushes , utilizing the highest base damage in game. I also don't understand why people completely avoid since at least one point early can multiply his survivability. Even jungling, I maintain these methods, which always work.

He has long been my best (and quite often favourite) champion. I would still build him somewhat tanky either way because even as a mere off-tank he has always been able to solo multiple enemies and shut down fed opponents.

Not very often do we see reliable lane Skarner guides.

I tried your guide in a ranked match. I was going solo top and got nearly flamed. Someone asked me, if I know anything about that game, because Skarner is only jungle. I ignored their complaints and won my lane. I didn't carry that game, but we won.

I like antimeta stuff. :)

This guide is also viable for ARAM. So much sustain.
