Buying a frozen mallet and a banshee's veil does not make you a tank.

To me, I don't rely on burning embers when I played Nocturne at the start. In fact, I can get a kill at level one using either duskbringer or unspeakable horror. If you notice, stepping upon your Duskbringer, you move faster and hit harder.

I don't really think its that useful to have 23 0 7. Personally, I'll rather get good hands (maxed), haste(I take ghost), EXP gain and meditation for early game extra. If you do the maths, you'll realise that persevereance require at least 28hpORmp/5sec to give you a bonus 1 hpORmp/5sec. This way, only few heroes like Dr. Mundo can use it effectively, since Lifesteal and Spellvamp isn't considered regeneration.

Nocturne's skill is ALL offensive AND defensive at the same time. Duskbringer boosts your speed. Shroud of Darkness proects you from spell. Activating Unspeakable horror on the best chaser forces him to break away or else he'll get feared. Your ulti has a big range (I realised it isn't half the map when I played Noc), you can always use it to target some other escaping champions that are in your way.

Personally, I have NO problems with fed champions suck as Tryn, Jax and stuff. I go for really high damage rushing and therefore I got severe lifesteal, so I never need any extra hp items. Against ALL 1v1 champions, the only problem you should have is Tryn. So save unspeakable horror when he's half health and he's dead.

Against AP champs, its easy to rip them to shreds. Even if they are some tanky guy like Vlad, you should have no problem. If you do, get a bloodrazor. Its really good for you.

Hope it helps :)

I apologize for this very strong constructive criticism, but it seems to be needed here. First of all, your rune selection. all of it is okay, except the glyphs. Why Nocturne needs magic resist is beyond me. You could use, say, replenishment glyphs. They are secondary, but short of cooldowns, glyphs don't provide too much for off-tanks, which is what your build is aiming for, I'm assuming. With the items you build, you might want to think about grabbing Trinity Force, although I don't recommend it for Nocturne. Also, Clairvoyance is an amazing summoner spell for nocturne, allowing you to use your ult on someone you're chasing if they've "lost" you in jungle, and it's just a really good spell for him all around. also, with the runes you've selected, you might try jungling with Nocturne instead. As for the build itself, it's not that bad. You get many useful items, just at the wrong time. Frozen mallet is only useful if you have a hard time keeping up, which you shouldn't with Duskbringer, Paranoia, and Unspeakable Horror. I would get Infinity Edge way before I grabbed Bloodthirster. Also, you could invest in a Black Cleaver or Madred's Bloodrazor. Attack Speed really helps Nocturne proc his passive. Also, I would go 21/0/9 in your masteries. you may not realize it, but the mana/hp regen from Perseverance are pretty much useless. Good hands is a much better mastery. Just some suggestions. Hope I helped.

I agree with the post above me (written by Demordir) and I want to add my notes to the points he brought up.

1. "Fast out of mana in early game, clarity", there are other spells that are much more useful than clarity on nocturne, and as said above, I would queue dodge. Just be careful with your mana pool and you will never run out.

2. Totally agree

3. Absolutely untrue, in-fact he is a superb farmer. He got his duskbringer (the hand) to deal much damage to many minions at once, he got a passive that gives him AoE attacks. You are completely wrong.

4. Agree

5. IMO duskbringer is a better starting spell, you can skillshot through bushes early to see if they are there or not. Also, it is better for firstblood

6. Agree

I have a few problems with your guide:

1) "Fast out of mana in early game (I suggest Clarity)" - if i saw clarity on a noct i would queue dodge. Its a waste of a summoner spell on him.

2) "Fail usage of Shroud of Darkness" - you will only fail if you are bad. Thats something you need to practice it is not a con on a character. Its a flaw of the user

3) "Bad farming" - completely untrue.

4) "no get-away" - huh? you can use your ult to get away and your duskbringer

5) I would not get unspeakble horror first if i was playing noct...

6) "Nocturne is very useless with no mana" - he is mostly an auto atack character...that is untrue. You shouldn't be using your abilites for creep farming.

7) "giving you more chances to get FB on a 2 vs 2 (lane on 5v5) or 3 vs 3 (on bot on 3vs3)" - huh?! taht doesn't make sense

8) your guide contradicts itself...in pros you put he is easy getaway...later in the cons...3-4 lines down you say poor getaway and that you suggest flash on him....WTF?

There is alot more but this does not deserve a thumbs up.

I give you an "E" for effort.
