Build
Build:
Vs melees Stride breaker is the main mythic item I build on Olaf. Its really good to chase as it slows. You want to get dorans blade, then build components to stride. In some circumstances you can build triforce but it really depends. If you need more damage and dont really care about the slow, go Tri. This works for cases where you dont need to self cc, so maybe against a morde, maoki etc.

After mythic, if your matching an ad threat go deaths dance, if a go maw.
You always want deaths dance eventually, but if you want shield and there is no ap threat just build steraks gage.

WIth the new patch, I have been experimenting and ravenous hydra is good in teamfights. It always olaf to do AOE damage, it doesnt really affect his wave clear speed, as his axes usually one or two shot the wave.

Blade of the ruined king, if good if you are uber ahead and want to have fun... xD. Gives you movement speed, this is good against melee champs as you are autoattacking alot more. If you are against a ranged, never go blade.

Black cleaver is good against tanks. If you see, that the enemy team has built alot of armor. its good to buy cleaver, as your ax already takes 25% I believe and BC takes 30% armor. Good item.

Tank items you want to build are frozen heart against ad obviously and spirit visage against ap. Only build it, if you are getting bursted and cant seem to heal in fights. Or if their team is primarly ad or ap.
Gameplay
In terms of splitting and grouping, if your teamfight is good you want to group. I feel as though, its very game time decision for me. If I win lane which I normally do, the enemy will just int me. I will stay in lane and build pressure so my team can get dragon and objectives. So I will choose to split if Im absurdly ahead and my team isnt behind. In some cases, you can dive your opponent. If my team is really behind, and losing all fights, I will group. If you have a good enchanter you will always 1v5. Get a yuumi, soraka, lulu on your team and your set. Just dont be indecisive. I dont take teleport, so if baron is up you want to make sure you dont let your opponent tp. Literally push the wave, until you see him and pressure at all times. If they send 2-3 for you, your team SHOULD get an objective preferrably baron, and you might end up 1v2ing your enemy.

I usually always play bait bush. As olaf, if you see a support or adc, just hide in the bush. supports usually have a ton of cc to peel, but obviously your ult negates that. Example, its like 99.99 percent chance you will run down a sona, xereth, ashe, draven, mf etc, champs with 0 mobility and dashes. Make sure you target, immobile champs as they cant run. Ashes whole kit is to slow and kite you, olaf just anals her... in a good way.

It sucks to be behind as olaf, as you can get dove etc but thats alot like other champs whoever your only way of csing is auto attacking. If you cant get cs, use your axes to cs. Make sure you DO NOT push the wave with it. Only use your axe if its not going to push wave and only going to hit 1-2 cs. Only trade and poke with your axe if you know your not going to be in direct combat within the next 5 seconds, otherwise if you get ganked you will die. You need to pick up axes in order to win. If you are chasing someone, try to land short axes instead of long ones, so its easier to pick up. In some cases, if you dont correctly position your ax, your opponent can run away or live, or even kill you. so DONT **** UP.
Things to know
Only use W when you're around 30% hp, it's also an auto reset. Use when you are also pushing the lane, when you know your going to recall, or enemy has left lane. In low elo, people dont expect olaf to do that much damage and heal, so imagine getting a decent shield and beating your opponent with 100hp.

Ult give bonus ad so if you know you're goign to ult do it before you axe if possible.

Olaf is not good at running away he has to fight or die usually. Unless you know for sure you can get away from hard cc and ghost away. But in most cases, its much more efficient to fight.

Always try to keep your ult up by autoing. If they are running away from you, try to hit the tanks before chasing. That way your ult stays up for along duration. In teamfights, people usually will zhonyas and flash away from you, so just try to keep your ult up.

You will most likely be the prime target for the enemy team. Try not to get bursted down, and take teamfights when you are either flanking or they have converged on your team first. Its much better that way, as they burn their cooldowns on your teamates leaving you the perfect angle.
