Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Hi, I'm GG Zypirian and welcome to my first guide on MOBAFire.
Pantheon is my favorite champion. He is very fun to play and you can drop out of the sky like a BAWS with his ult Grand Skyfall.
When I play Pantheon I either play him as jungler, a solo top or a mid. Though he is viable at every lane.
He has very good harass with Spear Shot due to low cooldowns and low mana cost.
He can kill any squishy with Heartseeker Strike.
I'm livestreaming daily. I sometimes even play (jungle) Pantheon too. You should check it out! Click here!
Aegis Protection (Passive):
This skill is very useful and makes Pantheon very strong.
It blocks skills like Gangplank's Parrrley, Nasus's Siphoning Strike, Ezreal's Mystic Shot etc.
You can towerdive easily combined with your ultimate Grand Skyfall.
1v1'ing Pantheon with any AD character will most likely be won by you.
Spear Shot (Q):
Very good skill. Much damage for low mana cost. When you have blue buff u can keep spamming this skill.
Aegis of Zeonia (W):
Very nice skill for ganking. A 1 second STUN. If you gank when you have red buff you have a very high chance to get a kill. Your passive Aegis Protection also refreshes immediately after you used Aegis of Zeonia.
Heartseeker Strike (E):
A great skill! You can kill any squishy with this skill. Very powerful.
Grand Skyfall (Ultimate):
Also called MANDROP.
Very nice ultimate. This is what makes Pantheon very powerful and very fun.
YOU NEED TO KNOW THIS: When you use Pantheon's Grand Skyfall and the champion(s) you are trying to gank are within your ultimate's range, use your Aegis of Zeonia on the champion that is within your ultimate's range and you will stun that person before hitting the ground!!
Far above the clouds on Mount Targon resides a stalwart tribe of people known as the Rakkor who still revere combat and war as ultimate artforms. They remember the Rune Wars of Runeterra and know that the League of Legends can only repress the rising tides of violence for so long. Each member of the tribe is bred to be a disciplined and vicious warrior, preferring to battle soldiers of either the Noxian or Demacian armies only when outnumbered at least ten to one. Rakkor warriors are trained not only to be as lethal with their bare hands as the most capable martial artists, but also to fiercely wield the many relic-weapons of the tribe. Such treasures have been handed down from generation to generation, and have harnessed the mystical nature of Runeterra in their very cores. These relic-weapons are among the most dangerous in existence - and it comes as no surprise that they have found their way to the League of Legends in the hands of Pantheon.
This stone-faced warrior is a paragon of his people, his very existence an anthem of exultation to the art of combat. Pantheon found it insulting that the people of Valoran would install an organization to replace war, complete with so-called champions, without including the Rakkor. Gathering the blessings of his tribe and armed with the relics of his ancestors, he has descended on the League to show the world a true warrior. He cares not who he fights, and cares nothing for the pageantry or prestige of a League champion, but lives only for the austere glory of battle. As long as Pantheon breathes, he thirsts for another foe to vanquish.
''I was hoping they had more reinforcements.'' - Pantheon, standing amidst the pieces of a brutalized Noxian battalion.
() Good harass
() Good jungler
() Grand Skyfall
() Very fun to play
() With good focus very OP
() No escape
() Needs some practice for Grand Skyfall
() Mana problems early game wiithout blue buff
I start with Spear Shot so I can spam my Spear Shot onBlue Golem.
At level 2 I take Heartseeker Strike. Once I reach lvl 3 I grab my stun Aegis of Zeonia for ganks. After that I keep upping my Spear Shot as much as I can. Heartseeker Strike after. Quite simple, isn't it? ;)
Greater Mark of Attack Damage
Greater Seal of Armor
Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist
Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage
In my opinion you have to take these runes. Pantheon doesn't have a very high base damage and not very good aoe skills in the jungle.
These are the seals I take for almost every jungler.
The minions deal less damage to you.
The glyphs I take on Pantheon. The magic resist it gives late game is very nice. Makes Pantheon even more tanky!
Same reason as the marks. Pantheon doesn't have a high base damage so he needs flat AD runes in the jungle.
I take 21/9 for maximum damage output.
21 in offensive and 9 in utility to get the 20% longer buff duration.
Smite is a must-have in the jungle. Without Smite you can't jungle well. Especially with Pantheon.
I always take Flash with Pantheon. Pantheon has no escape and needs to have Flash to get away fast, or flash over a wall. You can also use Flash to catch that running enemy to Aegis of Zeonia on their FACE.
Also a good skill for Pantheon. You can chase enemies better and escape/juke easy. If you don't take Flash I'd recommend this summoner spell.
Nice finisher skill. Combined with Heartseeker Strike's passive it's pretty good. The only problem you will get is that you have no escape.
Another good summoner spell for Pantheon. Nice ganks and good for teamfights. I'd recommend this over Ignite because with Exhaust you can escape due to the slow.
Jungling Route (includes vid!)
Buy Cloth Armor and 5 Health Potion. Take 1 point in Spear Shot and go to Blue Golem.
Ask someone to pull blue for you and keep attacking and spamming your Spear Shot. Once it reaches 445 health smite it. Then head to wolves. Wraiths. Double Golums ( Smite the big one) and gank (if possible).
Recall and head to red buff. Get wraiths and then go to mid/bot.
From there on you can easily tank all the buffs and gank whenever you can.
So basically the route is:
- Blue ( Smite)
- Double Golums] ( Smite
- Gank or Recall
- Red ( Smite)
From here on u can do what you want!
Once you are level 6, try to always find a lane with champions that are low health or squishy champions!
Bot lane, mid etc.
Here's a full gameplay of how I play Pantheon jungle at ranked.
