Poppy Jungle

As a summoner I main ADC, Jungle and Support and something I love to do is to try out old champs in new places with each coming update. That's when I found it: Poppy Jungle. After my friend dared me to try something new and I decided on Poppy Jungle. AFter trying it I realized that poppy didn't have a real counter in the jungle due to her ability to gap close with her W and gain bonus shield with every auto attack helps her get fed in no time at all. In this guide I will teach you how to effectively run a poppy jungle in ranked and normal.

Pros:

She can clear camps with 75% health after she gets W
Doesn't have a definite counter-Pick
Ganks are easy to execute
Fast clears
Dragon at lvl 3 is an option

Cons:

If you are behind low chances of comeback
Not a huge gapcloser
Weak without Trinity
Cant 1v1 until level 6

When jungling start at Gromp and move onto blue. Take blue Quickly and rush down to Red for the smite bonus. After getting it see if a gank is a viable option. Red buff helps with the slow and blue lets you spam your Q. If not, keep farming until you have enough for your jungle item, dagger and 2 pots. After that you have to gank a lane. I like to start top because Poppy's E only hits one person. When ganking, start at Tri-Bush and make your way behind the enemy and try to push them into the tower or the wall. Either option works and both help you and your top get the kill or burn a flash. Try to gank mid after and if that fails attempt Drag. Always ward to prevent a steal and ask bot to help. After Drag, farm some more until you hit 6, then gank bot lane. Remember to return to the shop to get your items. Remember Poppy's ult targets one person so make sure to target someone with low damage and 0 CC (Crowd Control). After ulting always assassinate the priority target or try to do some damage to help your team get back into the fight. Poppy is a Half Fighter - Half Assassin. Use her ult for defense or offense. Try to push towers after tiamat because you then turn into a shaco clone (lol Pun) who is able to take down towers quickly. Make sure to get your carries fed as well as yourself. Assists never hurt.

As Poppy your job is to initiate team fights by ulting a target that cant hurt you and assassinating the carries on the enemy team. If worse comes to worse you can always ult someone you want dead because her ult gives you 20-40% damage depending on level. You also have to protect YOUR carries by preventing the enemy team from assassinating them. Always know when to initiate and always make sure your team is there to back you up. But if you have a tanky supp o top with a good initiate like Braum or Rumble, always wait for them to initiate and it makes your assassination job WAAAAAAAY easier.

Due to Poppy's amazing ability to set up ganks, split push, assassinate, and 1v1, I feel like she could be one of the strongest junglers around for the 5.11 Patch. Something everybody has to realize when playing Poppy is that she can be the carry that every team needs but the team doesnt have to carry them. Poppy's amazing ability is the way she can pick a team up from the ashes and still be able to take them far. I have done it before with a game lasting 65 minutes and it was one of the greatest comebacks I have ever made. To finish this up, Poppy jungle is one of the funnest and enjoyable roles to play in any game and it can pick up your promotions in no time flat.
