Hi,

My summonner name is grosfish and I'm playing on EUW since season 2. My most played champ this season is by far Amumu. I bring this build to the table because I believe that, right now this is the new meta below diamonds level.

BASICS OF THE AP BUILD :

1) Predator makes MUMU so much more powerfull. The ganking and initiate potential are insane. We want to abuse it with runes that lower the cd of items.

2) Now that Amumu can be everywhere early, we need more explosive power. The common sunfire build is too slow, some pro korean build Hextech Rocketbelt in order to maximise burst potential and abuse the item cd reduction build. It is very fun to play but I believe that Liandry is a far better option : it has the max dmg potential output throughout all stages of the game and gives ton of mana. Since the recent mana cost increase of Amumu Q, mana can really be an issue and it is so much easier to play Amumu with an early mana item.

3) Since we use items cd reduction runes, we want to go for zhonia 3rd item because it is so cheap and synergies so well with a full AP mumu early.

4) Now we go for tank item, or more AP dmg, or a mix of the two depending on the context.


--- For the Predator Tank version ---
it's a completely different playstyle, much more reliant on team mates following up. The tank version is safer and is the way to go when you are the only tank in the team.
