Sorry I was on my phone when I made that comment so I was just trying to get some thoughts down. Allow me to elaborate. By rushing a Glacial Shroud, you gain 39% CDR with 9/0/21 and your Q at level 5. I don't think there is one champion in the game who can take you on at that point as you only have a net amount of around 2k gold, yet you have some MAJORLY OP burst, I've killed many a champion from full HP while they run from me because I take ghost/flash. You don't get Frozen Heart until like 6k gold, the game can be beyond saving at that point. I'd make a build explaining it but its not my idea so I don't feel justified in doing so. I actually have a few archived builds I use for reference so I'll make one you can look at and please try it. Archived Ryze Build You will rape like never before. Also, you should change your spell rotation to Q>W>E>R>Q>w/e comes off cooldown next. You gain a second huge nuke and you basically get off 2 Q in second time frame.

Frozen Heart just does it too, while giving Damage for Q, armor, Mana et Physical Dps protection

How do you play Ryze without maxing CDR? glacial shroud is my first full item a majority of the time. It is so op to have 39% cdr at level 9, they fall like flies.

Preferably, I'd add Deathfire Grasp to your list. It gives additional bonuses as well as the items you have down, but you can use it on an enemy and hit 30% of their current health(200 minimum damage)! 1 minute cooldown. Check my build out please?
