Hey there.
This is my Shaco build, I started playing Shaco after 5 months and decided to go AP.
We will go further and explain why AP and how to play Shaco properly.

Pros:
-Shaco after lvl 6 can go anywhere on the map and do anything.
-Can tower dive easily with his Ultimate and his Decieve skill.
-Fun to play.

Cons:
-Always focused
-Hard in teamfights
-Very hard late game

Ghost + Ignite.
In my opinion the best Summoner Spells for AP Shaco.
With Ghost + Ignite, you can tower dive easily, with two-shiv poison you can kill 1 enemy or 2 in generally 2 seconds.
Were situations that I tower dived and killed enemies with only ignite and two-shiv poison.

Magic penetration marks: Magic penetration - Awesome for you two-shiv poison and for your boxes.

Mana regeneration per sec Seals: Mana regeneration - Great mana regeneration (Great rune as you will spam your two shiv poison and plant your boxes all over the map)

Glyph of Force: Ability power per lvl - Some may ask why not cooldown glyphs - In-game with your items you will get 40% cooldown, so i think it will be useless.

Greater Quintessence of Potency: Ability Power - Ability power as you need it more. You can also use flat HP as Shaco is a squishy champion. I use ability power as I need them more.

Here's the thing with teamwork : You are not the best at it.
What you need to do in team fights is take off the squishy champions like: Ashe, Ezreal, Teemo, etc.
I plant some boxes in the bushes and then rush in the fight.
I take the squishy champions in 2 sec max.
If you get focused make a false run and then get back in the fight by spamming two-shiv poison.
It will definitely result in a win.
You are an assasin, you must take the kills.
80% of the kills must be yours, take it up.
