Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Hi I'm CageTheSage and this would be my first guide. Fizz is an excellent champion overall in so many ways. This mainly focuses on the build, rune, and mastery section. Later on I may go into details on exactly the ways I play him myself. For now I just wanted to post the build I have used many times and had great success with.
Pros / Cons
+He Throws Fish
-Mana Hungry Early
-Hard To Master
-Squishy Early On
-Ult Can Be Tricky At First
Fizz is a very offensive champion and as such I go mainly offensive Masteries. These choice of Masteries set him up to basically be an AP Assassin.
Flat health Quintessences for that more beefy Fizz. Greater Mark of Insights because we love to punch through that armor. Greater Seal of Potency for that extra punch. Greater Glyph of Replenishment to help him in the beginning with his mana hungry ways.
Ah the items, my favorite part of this guide. We start with standard boots and 3 health pots for the speed and health thats need. From there we rush his Sorcerer's Shoes, the magic pen and speed boost are a must for a proper fizz. Catalalyst the Protector to beef him up a bit to witstand battles. Progressing to Rod of Ages for more beef. Then finally we pick up our Sheen and began our journey to his buff stage. Lich Bane for the extra punch, resistance, mana, and movement speed increase. Finally the Deathcap for the overkill on AP.
Majority of the time Trickster is the best opening option. Its his most useful skill in my opinion, helping with chase downs and escapes. So picking this up first can help you pick up a easy beginning or save your life before early on. Next is Fizz's Urchrin Strike, his main attack skill. This is a good second to pick just for early fights that break out, also great poking. Its very easy with these two skills early on to Strike then Trickster back and return unharmed completely or chase down an easy skill. Next is Seastone Trident, Tridents passive is amazing at helping to last hit minions but its active is almost like a weak ignite, great for the extra boost needed for a kill plus getting that last hit on a flashing away champion. After you have your first three skills, I max Urchins Strike first as I see this being the most essential. Seastone Trident second with Trickster coming in last. Of coarse the Chum The Waters whenever possible in between.
