i liked a lot your build but i always got raped when i get sun fire first.Sun fire is expensive and didnt get any magic resist , which is important on mid game. i made some changes , i get boots first, hearth of gold to help make some money , merc, leviathan , force of nature(heavy ap builders) or guardian , and close randiums.what do you think?

man awesome tips , i just started with shen my and t build merc threads+sun fire +warmog sometimes i did great and sometimes was raped.Now with this tips i can better change my build looking the other team and the game.thx a lot

Disapointing that people downrate the build without leaving a comment, as im capped I haven't been able to play the new Shen but I do understand leviathan is useless now so I will update it later.

I find Feint to be very powerful early game. It makes me more aggressive and I can push enemies like mad, plus not a lot of players expect it.

Previously, yes I did wait for Feint late game, but I found it just much better all the way through levels. Trust me, I still get kills and assists with little to no deaths, depending on our team match-up.

However, looking over your guide, I chose Ignite and it's helped me score more KBs than ever before, HUGE +1 for that.

Still finding a hard time to work in Sunfire Cape. As I find Leviathan>Aegis>Guardian>Frozen Mallet (typical make up, depending on match-up) a lot more viable than Sunfire Capes, don't get me wrong my first few games I wore only Sunfire Capes and raped. I seem to do just fine without them, I may try to work one in somewhere. Possibly once this Leviathan nerf comes next patch I will see Sunfire Cape being good addition once again. Since Leviathan will be useless.

Appreciated mate, I might try feint early game but as theres no really much team fighting early i've just fought it to be a waste to get it immediately. As I said its only a reccomendation, I like the +40 damage effect as I kill the dragon alot and it saves alot of time and also when your tanking your surrounded by enemy champs alot so if your in there for 5 seconds + thats 200 damage extra done to each.

The cleanse ignite issue is one that I stated you can choose either but I prefer ignite as you can stack up a few kills in the early game for a money bonus which could lead to you getting your items alot faster. Also ignite + leviathan, if you can get a few solo kills with ignite you can stack your leviathan faster for more hp (more damage for ki strike). Your point remains valid over cleanse through as it is a very good skill for Shen, my friend also uses cleanse for Shen but I find he doesn't get anywhere near as much early game kills as me.

I have a friend who plays Shen tank a lot, and this is almost completely his build. Only a couple of differences...
How do you feel about cleanse instead of ignite? It helps make shen even more of a tank than he already is.
Also, can't you do some sort of scrolling between the allied champions with the F# keys? Worth mentioning for stand united.

In the earlier stages of the game you don't really need feint so much, I will be honest and say I have never tried it however. Vorpal blade and shadow dash make a really good combo for early kills and Shen can tank fine without it early game. Also as you don't really start team tower pushing till around 10+ its better just to get it later in my opinion (they also nerfed it so its not as good anymore, you could definately try it if you wish but I don't honestly know of any other Shens that take it early.
