Irelia is not particularly vulnerable to being ganked; first of all. Also Bladesurge is easily a higher dps increase than the other two, I level up Hiten Style as needed to let myself lane easier (if you aren't low health, no one should even be able to gank you, unless they bring the whole team, inc which case I doubt your single target stun will save you). Equilibrium Strike I level up last as it scales with AP and the cooldown does not decrease with more points. The longer duration is nice but I can't see myself giving up the mobility and damage of Bladesurge, if I'm cruising mid game I'll sometimes max Equilibrium Strike over Hiten Style. Finally Bladesurge has often saved me from ganks, you use it to escape via minions.

I find Equilibrium Strike your most useful skill early game out of all 3 non ultimate skill. The stun or slow will save you from a gank. The longer the better. Bladesurge and Hiten Style in no way can save you from a gank, regardless of cooldown and stuff
