The reason I build merchant boots and vamp scepter first is so that I can jungle effectively and farm/gank in the meantime for the BF Sword. The sustain and movement speed lets you stay out there long enough and farm fast enough to get that game changing item early.

I feel like building Sheen is not very effective use of gold early game. Ability power is useless, and although the mana is nice, there are better things to spend money on. WuKong Combo only activates Sheen once per burst, and it only adds base damage. I feel that it might not be the best use if 1200+ gold. For that you can double Dorian's and boots. Sheen is better for hit and run harass, which is not what I'm going for.

I created this build order so that I can very evenly balance health and damage. Warmogs has trouble fitting into that scheme without a Atma's Impaler. I prefer rushing Bloodthirstier because it speeds up mid game farming and jungling. A Frozen Hammer allows for more reliable ganks during this phase. Warmogs is mostly just for surviving that team burst while scaling damage from the Atma's.

Between health and Decoy and the Stone Skin. You should endup with over 100 MR with the passive. Survivablilty shouldn't be an issue.

I personally play wk randomly XD (and still own :P)
Anyways I just follow MY basic AD laning build.
But the thing is, surprisingly I build pretty health-based. In early-games, I am able to stay in-lane for a long time, taking kills, getting fair amount of gold, and then recall most of the time (when I'm trying that is XD). (and no not ap)
I do keep getting gold, but when I recall I am UNABLE to have a gold for B.F. sword. Even when I get first blood and have fair amount of kills. Well not necesarily, but taking priority on boots and other items I am unable to do so. It seems it isn't too early, but considering that if you are planning to build onto it fairly early-game, at the time there aren't much team-fights, I believe getting the blood-thirster there is a bad choice. I don't know how well you do, you might actually go ganking for gold, be good at last-hitting etc and actually able to get the gold when you need it. But my thing is, keeping in the gold for future items is bad, and I believe that you should think what is useful at the current state, and in order to do so, think about your gold, etc etc so that you can get the blood-thirster at that point is very hard to do. Blehh, sorry if I can't explain well but, basically you should think of gold management more effectively, and if you want to take higher priority of it, then just state it down below.

Ah ok, interesting idea. I will give it a go and see how it feels! I can see how rushing the damage item would help get your burst up especially without a Trinity Force. I have yet to play a game without that being my core item so I would love to see how that contrasts with your build. Either way, I gave your guide a +1 and thank you for your comment response.

Hey, I read through what you have to say and it's really quite good, although you play Wukong quite differently to me. I was wondering why you get Warmog's Armor so late in the game as it takes a little while to max out its bonus stats? I do like the idea of having the health boost from Frozen Mallet as well though. Do you find that the MR from Mercury's Treads is enough to protect you late game? I will try this build today, sounds fun.

Aside from that you may want to have a look at jhoijhoi's bbcoding guide. It really helped me to make my guide a little more colourful in its presentation. I find it really helpful to be able to refer to the specific item or skill within the guide when I'm talking about it.
