Well sort of :p
I messed around with it for a while and i ended up using hp/lvl seals couse i didn't have any others :p
To make up for this i grab a cloth armor and 5 hp pots with surge as summoner spell
I miss out on flash but i allowes me to get a full jungle clear right away and still have enough hp for a gank before i recall
i use all the other items mentioned though
again I facepalmed at the cheat sheet: I f you build Hybrid Shyvana you commit to it. don't half *** it by only build Hextech Gunblade and quitting. You have way too much HP going and not enough MR. with this build you are definitely going to be eaten alive by mages like Ryze and Morgana who excel at keep you away from them so that you can't hurt them.
finally, although this guide is written better than your higher rated guide it was still boring.
Great guide but one thing i dont understand is in your masteries why do you choose "Summoners insight" seeing as it doesnt improve the summoner spells you choose. in that matter I think in my personal opinion the 9 points spent in utility i would use in defence taking sommoners resolve (for smite) and the armor up untill "bladed armor" i mean the movement speed is nice but her burnout has that covered and the buff extension is great but your jungle youll get those as many times as you can. just a fellow sommoners two cents great guide i look forward to more!
yeah i discussed that in the masteries, but I'm still not 100% sure if that's the way it's going to stay or not.
I'm not the author of the guide, but when I jungle I prefer to level it first for many reasons.
1. It scales of AD and since that's the gear I mainly get until mid-end game it give me more bang for the buck.
2. It speeds up things in the jungle by clearing the smaller ones while fighting the big one and also moving around in general.
3. It is a great tool for ganking. Since Shyvana has no stun or other CCs being able to chase down enemies is quite vital.
Yes, both Twin Bite and Flame Breath is better for single targets, but that's not really what I'm doing a lot of when I jungle.
this is dead-on for why Burnout is leveled faster than Twin Bite along with the fact that Twin Bite scales extremely slowly as it's leveled it doesn't add a lot more damage.
OK, I said I won't down-vote this guide, but it just has to be done. It's a guide of playing Shyvana in which there are absolutely no items that give attack speed. I don't have to try it to know it's dis-functional. Like I said, it's the same as ignoring attack speed on Tryndamere, Xin Zhao, Master Yi or Nocturne, just can't be done. Besides, when you answered my comment you just justified why you use Hextech Gunblade and why you don't build the extra magic resistance, you ignored my attack speed complain, as if it wasn't even important. When people take a decision that 99% of the rest think is questionable they usually give a reason for it. You didn't... Who knows, maybe you could even convince us that ATS is not important on Shyvana after all(although I seriously doubt it) Until then -1, sorry dude.
AS is helpful with Shyvana I'm not saying it isn't, but i will say I've used AS builds with her using Wit's End, Cleaver, Phantom Dancer, and Ghostblade, I've tried many combinations of them, but what it all boils down to is the Twin Bite and the Burnout. Read them both, then take note of the bonus damage that comes along with both.
Twin Bite scales off of attack damage.
Burnout scales off of bonus attack damage. I.E. damage added by items.
With these bonuses Wit's End doesn't help, the 42 magic damage it does is nice, but doesn't benefit the bonus damage of either of these abilities which limits Shyvana to being a purely auto attacking champion which is easily countered by a Thornmail
With my build the bonus damage is great for both of these abilities, you can't argue with the tankiness of my build, also while talking about tankiness, I will ignore the previous comment about an AP hitter taking Shyvana down easily, it doesn't happen with this build and if you try it you will see what I am saying.
With this build Twin Bite deals over 1k damage and can be used every second and a half or so with no AS items. Burnout runs continuously if you keep attacking (cooldown is gone as soon as it runs out) and does over 100 damage per second to each target within range.
I am also willing to bet that everybody here that has downvoted this guide because of the build idea has not actually tried this build.
Please don't comment about the lack of optional items, I will be adding them in as I have an opportunity, and will start to do so as soon as I post this.
Madalin and everyone else that has downvoted this guide, I urge you to actually try it a few times and see how well it does for you, then if you choose to keep your downvote that is your choice, but I find it unfair to not try the build first with such a new champion that very few know how to use well.
On another note, for the past few days I have actually tried doing AS builds once again taking some suggestions, and even trying other builds for Shyvana I can say before I did this my win ratio with Shyvana was over 95% in ranked matches. With these attack speed builds I have tried I have about a 45% win ratio over the past few days trying many variations, and none of them jumped out at me and said "this build owns." Like my guide here does.
