Introduction

Gangplank is great character for both attacking enemies while defending towers. When I use this build I am the element on the team and will get first or second place every time. The build is based off of cool down and critical strike. I use Gangplank as a ranged attack damage character with his Parley and Ult.


This is my first build so comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Items

Youmuu's Ghost Blade, and Ionian Boots of Lucidity are my main build. Health potions at the beginning help with capping the top tower and staying alive. During the main build I may get vampiric cepter or BF sword depending on gold and enemies. The goal is to be able to defend towers while casting Cannon Barrage as much as possible to help with ganks and stop tower captures.

Skill Sequence

Parley, Parley, Parley.... This makes GP able to kill many champs in 2 hits. With critical and life steal this can make GP unstoppable solo and a great carry in a team fight.

Cannon Barrage is used mainly to stop tower captures from anywhere on the map and assist team fights. It should be used as much as possible but should always be available to stop a champ from capturing a tower.

Raise Morale is a great support ability that can help your team or help you get to a tower after Cannon Barrage

Remove Scurvy is useful while defending a tower to help boost health or if no one is around, It stops GP for a second so should not be used when running or chasing.

Runes

Marks - Critical strike chance is what this build is going for. when you are defending a tower or trying to take a tower it is great to be able to get that critical damage shot.

Glyphs - Cooldown reduction is perfect for using cannon barrage as much as possible. With a combination of cooldown items and runes you can ult almost everytime they try and attack a turret.

Seals - having enhanced armor helps Gangplank in early game.

Quintessence - I use greater marks of vampirism for 6% lifesteal but i am not able to add them to this guide. I chose a critical strike quintessence for the guide to help with critical chance.

Masteries

Offense all the way to help with damage and lifesteal. I cant justify putting last few skill points into any abilities so I feel that reducing time spent dead is a good ability to have, specially for dominion.

Summoner Spells

Ghost - This spell was made for dominion, it allows you to get in and get out of a fight. Combined with raise moral and speed buff this ability can get you anywhere on the map fast.

Exhaust - This is great for getting the top tower in early game. You are able to stop enemies from killing allies while you use parley to finish the job. It can also be great for ganking and stopping opponents from killing you one v one.
