Introduction
Runes
Greater Mark of Attack Damage - First, I use Flat Attack Damage marks. These help a lot early game with damage, and are good additions to the attack damage items you will be getting.
Greater Seal of Armor - Next, I have Armor seals. These are great for sustainability, especially early game where Sion may be a bit squishy.
Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist - As for Glyphs, I use Magic Resist per Level. I think that getting these per level is better because late game is when all of those AP carries start to get REALLY annoying, so these help a lot when it comes to facing mages.
Greater Quintessence of Desolation - These are pretty self-explanatory. These quints are very powerful and useful for massive damage, especially contributed towards tanks with lots of armor.
This is where the "simple" comes in from the title of this guide. These items are simple, as in the fact that you will probably be able to remember this guide by memory.
: You gotta start with this. The early game sustain from the +80 Health and the +10 Attack Damage is just perfect. It will help greatly in achieving first blood.
: These boots are basically essential for ALL AD carries, and it really isn't different with Sion. These boots are excellent for early game attack speed. There is not much else to say!
: This is a MUST HAVE 3rd Item. The early game attack speed is extraordinarily effective and the critical strike bonus cannot be beat!
: Wow. This matches to Sion's Ultimate like peanut butter does to jelly. In other words, the lifesteal is what makes this item so great, because it pairs exceptionally well with Cannibalism. Not only this, but A LOT of AD is given through this item as well, so make sure to pick it up 4th on the line.
: When you are doing very well (with this guide!), the enemy team will focus you in team fights. This will give you a ton of health for that problem of squishyness that Sion can sometimes have. Along with this, Cryptic Gaze and exhaust are Sion's oonly form of crowd control, so it is great to have the additional slowing effect from this item.
2nd and ] (Selling Doran's Blade): Ever heard the saying '2 is better than 1'? This phrase fits VERY well in this build. You will really see the significant increases on Sion's stats when you get 2 of these items. So make sure to double up on these!
: If you want to add that last cap of damage onto the build, get one of these. This is a great damage output finisher, and with all of the speed you have from your Phantom Dancers, selling the Berserker's Greaves for these really isn't a problem.
That's really it for items, make sure to not feed so that you can get these items quickly!
As you can tell, I start off with Cryptic Gaze at level 1, then pumping Enrage and Death's Caress by level 3. This will help with a self-supportive and powerful early game. From there, it is REALLY simple. Max Enrage first, max Cryptic Gaze next, and max Death's Caress last, while taking points into Cannibalism at levels 6, 11, and 16.
: YOU MUST have this summoner spell as one of your two. As I mentioned earlier, Sion's crowd control is limited, so having this will ensure and help you chase kills.
As for the 2nd Summoner Spell, I usually use Flash for a great escape tool and a kill chaser. However, I would also recommend these as good 2nd choices.
: You ignore unit collision and have 27% increased Movement Speed for 10 seconds. A very useful tool for escaping AND chasing kills down. This is a cool replacement for flash.
: Ignites target enemy unit, dealing 70-410 true damage (depending on champion level) over 5 seconds and reduces healing effects on the target for the duration. Very strong early game, pretty useless late game. This summoner is really effective when that kill is running away with -100 health, especially in the early game "first blood" fight.
: After casting for 4 seconds, teleports you to target allied minion, turret, or ward. I can't say too much about this spell, except for the fact that it is great for helping teammates, especially when they don't have you in a team fight or when your team is pushing.
Thank you all! Adrian
