Introduction

Hi I'm Sneaky from Cloud 9! This is my guide that should include tips on how to build and play Twitch ^_^.

Pros & Cons

Pros
+ High pressure when missing
+ Huge mid/late game damage
+ Stealthy!

Cons
- Terrible laning phase
- Mediocre escape
- Pretty useless without ult

Runes

Runes are pretty simple. I think Greater Quintessence of Attack Speed is the most efficient/best for Twitch. Greater Seal of Armor is for survival throughout the game. Greater Glyph of Magic Resist is for surviving magic damage and Greater Glyph of Attack Speed gives you more damage output. Greater Mark of Attack Damage is necessary for all ADCs. I honestly just take what the best ADC in Korea is using. I also have Lemon help me.

Masteries

21/9/0 is the best mastery setup for Twitch. He can't really make good use of Expose Weakness or Spell Weaving / Blade Weaving so I don't take those. Dangerous Game is amazing and Frenzy is necessary on champions that you build more than 10% crit on.

Abilities

(Passive) Deadly Venom
Twitch's passive doesn't do much damage early but it can stack up in longer trades and it's a key component to using Contaminate effectively. Pay attention to your poison stacks!

(Q) Ambush
Cooldown: 16 seconds
This is Twitch's prime offensive ability. Learn the vision ranges of minions and use it on the edge of them, where they can't see you. Run in after your stealth goes off and then open up on them.

You'll want to have this up every time you want to go for an ult in a team fight. You deal way more damage with your attack speed steroid activated while you're ulting. It also gives you a vision advantage by letting you surprise them from stealth.

When you open up from stealth activate your ulti, you'll usually want to be on their squishiest targets depending on how much damage you do compared to them. If they have all their CC available, you'll want to wait a few seconds in stealth near them until they spend their CC on something else.

A strategy I use a lot when I can do loads of damage is go into stealth and open up on their ADC and then Flash backwards when they use a CC. Their front-line will try to go on you and you'll already either have killed their ADC or got him really low.

(W) Venom Cask
Cooldown: 13/12/11/10/9 seconds
This is a basic slow that applies your passive. It helps you waveclear and keep the enemy from harassing you too much in lane. In lane I throw it at the enemy when they're trying to harass me while going for CS. It slows them down and helps your support possibly land something. Don't throw this out too much since you'll run out of mana. I also throw it right after opening up out of my stealth in the later phases of the game.

Farming tip: The best way to push out a wave is to Venom Cask the whole wave and then auto attack each melee minion twice and the ranged ones once. Then Contaminate! Don't use rat-ta-tat-tat for waves ever!

(E) Contaminate
Cooldown: 12/11/10/9/8 seconds
Contaminate is your basic damage ability that deals damage based on how many passive stacks you have. You want to wait until you're fully done trading with the enemy to use it since it'll do the most damage at that point. You should also use it if the enemy is just about to get out of range or if you feel like you're about to get exhausted or CC'd and need to burst the enemy quickly.

Rat-ta-tat-tat (R) Rat-ta-tat-tat
Cooldown: 120/110/100 seconds
This is your kill-everybody button. You need this to be able to finish people off and win duels. Make sure that you have this up every time you're going for a stealth kill. You don't have to use it immediately but having it up will ensure the kill.

If you're going for a duel you need to use it the second you pop out of stealth. It makes your Contaminate deal more damage and every auto attack deal more.

Try to be near max range, but not at full max range when fighting so that you can chase people down while still being able to hit them.

Items

Early Game
Start with Doran's Blade, Health Potion, Stealth Ward
First buy:
If 1450g+: Bilgewater Cutlass + 3 Health Potions
If 800g+: 2 Long Swords + 3 Health Potions
If 1240g+: Vampiric Scepter, Doran's Blade, 2 Health Potions, 1 Mana Potion
If 440g+: Doran's Blade + 4 Health Potions
Mid Game
From there you'll want to finish your Blade of the Ruined King, buying Boots when you can. Finish Berserker's Greaves after finishing BotRK.

After Blade of the Ruined King, build Youmuu's Ghostblade. Build the Long Swords first.
Late Game
After Youmuu's Ghostblade is where what to build becomes a good question.
-If the enemy doesn't have armor build a Phantom Dancer.
-If the enemy does have armor build Last Whisper.

If you went Phantom Dancer, build Infinity Edge after it, and then Last Whisper.
If you went Last Whisper, build Infinity Edge next.

How to play Twitch

You basically are a really weak laner. You don't want to go for too many trades unless they're overextending. You want to wait until you have at least Blade of the Ruined King to go for kills.

You get insanely strong with the Blade of the Ruined King + Youmuu's Ghostblade combo. Make sure you abuse it by walking up into mid lane out of sight and stealth onto your opponent for free kills. You can do this at almost any point in the game unless you're extremely behind.

At level one you can put a point in your Ambush (Q) and sit mid behind the wall until the minions come. Stealth onto the enemy mid laner and watch them blow a summoner spell! This strategy was used by imp in OGN.
