"Thornmail is a waste and you don't need it"
Uhm, I see a Thornmail in your Purchase Order.
What a troll! Read it in the context omg: 'Also, if they have almost no AD, Thornmail is a waste and you don't need it, never get AD or AP items, ever.'
Ok, I'm not going to vote yet on your Shen guide since it's not at all complete.
A couple off things:
Try formating and coding your guide, makes it much easier, readable, enjoyable, ... for the reader.
Try explaining more, flatten things out, why did you chose this item or that, why not? What are your situational items?
The ability sequence, I'm not a fan of it, you start off good by getting vorpal blade, feint and shadow dash. But after that, you mess it a bit up. Keep with lvling up 1 thing at a time exept at the start, since you need all abilities.
3300 health and 80% armor reduction? You will just get ignored by the other team. Why? They can't kill you fast, so they will just kill your carries first and then they can easily take you on.
You're taking ghost, why not flash? Ghost is also fine but you don't have boots, so you will be boosting something that is already slow? They will just slow you down and even with ghost, they will kill you.
That takes me to my other point, you have no CC reduction! I suggest to leave those merc. treads in your core, you will need them!
Runes: Health, health, mag res, health ... I suggest getting some other runes like magic pen, hp regen, armor (if you drop some armor items).
To come back on your sentence: 'Also, if they have almost no AD, Thornmail is a waste and you don't need it, never get AD or AP items, ever.'
I suggest building some AP items or AD items to increase your attacks, you don't form a threat to your enemies so they will most likely ignore you and kill your carries instead off focussing you. Your job is to take the focus on you, take all the hits and let your carries kill them.
It's just like building a carry. You don't want to build it too squichy, so you give up some damage for survivability.
Buidling a tank is building a lot of survivability but still do some good damage to be able to be a threat to the enemy, else they will ignore you.
Basicly: You need to start working on your guide on these points or atleast give me a good answer.
