Swain, the Raven God.
Early Game (1-6/7)
Swain is very strong caster/carry that is (in my opinion) reliant on early game domination. Thus, you must mid or solo lane if you have a Jungler. You will need the Doran's Ring and a Health Potion for the health and early game ability power. Start off harassing like mad with bird and pop that Ignite as soon as possible to gain that 10 Ability Power as you will need it for level 2+. When you have your Torment you can possibly grab first blood depending on how aggressive the enemy is. Until you have your Ulti stay behind the caster minions. I know you can hit like a truck and possibly get a kill, but, you are not invincible; minions will kill you. At level 5 you can probably start zoning your opponent (Harassing them back to their turret so they do not get experience). Boom! You leveled! Ulti time! Yes! I'm a tank now guys! Boom Jax just 3 hit you. YOU ARE NOT A TANK! YOU JUST HAVE A LOT OF SURVIVABILITY! Follow the Mid Game guide below.
Mid Game (6/7-11)
Mid game is probably when swain gains his power. By this time you hopefully have Mejai's Soulstealer, when the opportunity happens see if top or bottom need a gank, run down and use the W-E-Q-R Combo or E-W-Q-R depending on range. The trick is to not be seen and still land your Nevermove. Hopefully the lane you are helping can stun for disable in some way, if not pop Ignite (if it is up) then E-Q-R. Before returning to your lane grab Blue buff. In a nutshell Mid game is for building stacks and getting fed.
Late Game (11-18)
Late game team fights are a piece of cake with swain. Root their team, ulti and focus the carry. If your team is loosing the fight see if you can't root them as your running. If you won the team fight push to there inhibitors. With as much ability power as you have you can drop inhibitors like a breeze. (Don't ask me why ability power effects damage on inhibitors). When your on the nexus turrets it is VERY important that you ulti and Nevermore their minions so your minions will drop the turrets while you focus the champions. Depending on how you use this build the enemy team will probably surrender or you will just beat them.
Why I choose the items that I choose
Mejai's - Power Gain Epicness
Will of the Ancients - Spell vamp + Ulti = WIN
Void staff - more spell pent win (Sub this for archangles if there is no MR tanks)
Archangles - Simply for epic AP and Mana
Rylai's - Health, AP, More slow.
Skills and Why I Picked the Order the way I did.
Decrepify:- Lazer bird is first because it is great for harassing and doesn't require much mana.
Nevermove:- Is last (Out of the core spells.) Because it's good but Torment + Lazer bird is a much better combo.
Torment:- I chose this to max first because it is a HIGH DAMAGE DoT(Damage over Time) that increasr the bird damage even if it stays level 1.
Ravenous Flock:- Ulti = Epicness Enough said.
