Having a DIE-later, BIG hitter opponent is a grave threat and hard to handle. Better handle with outmost care or just DO your Kiting until he drops..

Introduction
I'm a support main and I happened to play Kog'maw's glass-cannon for his LOL-ing fire rate. (I even bring it into Kyle) But then the patch came that changed Kog'maw fun factor (for me), I stopped playing him and stick to my main support. I'm a Soraka main btw, tho she's also been modified in terms of her item cores on my main build twice. Well that's another story.
I did had those times supporting isn't going smoothly since my support items been changed drastically and start looking for another path to lighten up. I do still play support and I wanna try ADR to loosen up yet I suck orz. Once played Lulu when one funny thing happened our bottom AD went Awol so then I play AD lulu the first time. And there I found out she's quite rounded especially her Whimsy and Pix, Faerie Companion abilities excited me.
And that reminds me of Kog'Maw's frenzy and so there I came to test her out and later confirmed her to be fun!

This Jungle Lulu was on its 3rd revision since I played AD Lulu. This inspired mo so after seeing a Jungle Bloodrazor Master Yi and started liking to go further rambo build. Now a Gun-staff Lulu was born! (Well originally called her Machine Gun Lulu yet its already used by other user).
PS. Don't be mistaken, Gun-staff Lulu was already my other name for her. It was derived and inspired from one of my favorite LN "Knight's and Magic", soon to be anime this July.

The Top/Lane Lulu is no other different to Jungle Path, here to say it's the predecessor. Other than Skirmisher's Sabre - Bloodrazor, both are closely related to AD marksman build, both with my fave item cores:
With a "Glass-cannon" build takes a high risk. But with Lulu's cc abilities, her survival increases and transform as a "Tampered Glass-cannon". And with addition of kiting and some brood-tactics, opponents may find her quite annoying.

Fervor of Battle : Is one of my first option to go when you go Laning and focusing on kiting the opponent. Good AD/AS boost gain but it requires more engagement for the buffs to last, may find hard against a careful enemy. With this you may require Life steal items to last longer in head on clash. |
Thunderlord's Decree : Gives you an early bonus damage of lightning harassing your opponent. Along with Fervor of Battle , it also requires HP securing items to last more in battle. It has long cooldown at start, so kiting requires more attention not wasting it on a minion far from your target. |
PROS
- Fast farming vs neutral monsters.
- Easy dragon hunt in seconds, mid-late game.
- Well balanced both offense and defense.
- Lane sweeper vs massive minion mobs.
- Wide map control.
- Quick buff/debuff for allies and foes.
- HIGH crit burst/damage output.
- Squishy early game.
- May require Hard leash early.
- Slow farm on post- Skirmisher's Sabre.
- Low gank probabillity if out-farmed.
- Requires item builds to excell battle efficiency.
- One word: Glass Cannon; Kiting is advised on long battles.
- May require support vs hard multiple enemies.

Hunter's Machete - If there's a hard leash ally with you.
