Talon is one of the best mid lane melee champions and is just as good (if not better) as Yasuo or Zed. I personally prefer him because he has an escape skill attached to his kit and because he is very versatile in game.

Talon is pretty easy to lane with, mostly because his W hits minions and champions at the same time. It is great for farming and keeping the enemy away from their farm. Just remember not to push too hard or the enemy jungle is going to come.
